Day 1 TOKYO
We listed couple of options to explore but it’s all up to us, time of travel (train) and the amount of time to spend in each place.
Started our day with walking around our area,Shinjuku.
*Most of the shops open at 10-11am (we needed power bank and adaptor so badly at this point, don’t forget to bring one!)
While waiting for the shops to open, we decided just to walk around and found the following (which were on our list to visit)
• Godzilla Head
• 3D Cat
We had breakfast at Komeda Coffee, the tonkatsu sandwich was so good and the portion was quite huge for one person so we shared.
*how to pay in most of the restaurants? They will give you a receipt on the table and after you finish your meal you have to bring the receipt with you to the cashier in front. No need for tip but you can if you want. P.S You can’t leave your money on the table.
We met up with our friends to go to Shibuya and explored
• Shibuya Crossing
• Hachiko Statue
• Shibuya Sky Tower (booking should be 2 weeks before your desired date, this can go so fast so you have to be quick)
*we were able to booked it but unfortunately the weather was not cooperating so they had to close the rooftop. And it’s non refundable if you agree with the disclaimer (weather dependent attraction).
*if you have an issue with heights or vertigo or whatever, just be mindful and try to take deep breathes lol
The next stop supposedly was Pokemon Cafe, unfortunately we tried for days to book online and we were unsuccessful. The seats were sold out in seconds.
* if you want to book this try booking 30-31 days before your target date (a month prior)
So instead we went to Pokemon Centre and Nintendo World Centre. Did some damage to our wallets then to compromise we ended eating at Doraemon Cafe which was pretty awesome as well. Very “kawaii”!
I had my first Matcha drink from Matcha Tokyo(the viral one) and I’d say it was 7/10.
Did some shopping and went home. Had dinner at Gyukatsu Motomura which was the best one I have ever tried. 10/10
Expect to walk a loooot, bring good shoes!
