🌾 Escape the Heat: Hike Kirigamine in Nagano with ODR! 🌾
We have openings for our upcoming hiking trip to Kirigamine Plateau in Nagano Prefecture on Sunday, July 26th! Situated at an altitude of 1,600 meters, Kirigamine is a stunning alpine plateau where the average July temperature is a cool 16°C (61°F)—about 10°C (18°F) cooler than Camp Zama! If you are looking to escape the summer heat, this is the perfect getaway.
Here is what we have planned:
• Two Scenic Peaks: We will start with a moderate 40-minute climb from Kurumayama-kata to the summit of Mt. Kurumayama (1,924m). From there, we will traverse the rolling trail over to the Chocho-Miyama summit.
• Vast Subalpine Marshlands: Our descent leads us to a beautiful marshland that is home to over 400 species of subalpine plants.
• Mountain Hut Gourmet: During the loop hike, you will have the chance to stop and enjoy delicious, local mountain hut specialty dishes for lunch!
