Win for Farmers as Wambilianga Leads Hass Avocado Seedling Distribution at her Ndengelwa Office.

Bungoma Woman Representative Catherine Wambilianga has officially launched the distribution of 10,000 high-yield, nutrient-rich Hass avocado seedlings under her office's Avocado Empowerment Programme.

Speaking during the launch at her Ndengelwa office, Wambilianga said the disease-resistant seedlings are primarily being distributed to youth, women, and the elderly as part of her commitment to creating sustainable economic opportunities through agriculture.

She noted that promoting avocado farming will empower households to increase their incomes, enhance food security, and build more resilient livelihoods.

Wambilianga further emphasized that the initiative is expected to boost agricultural productivity, create employment opportunities, and strengthen the local economy through value-added agribusiness.

The programme is part of her broader efforts to support farmers and promote agribusiness as a driver of economic growth and community empowerment in Bungoma County.
