Today, I joined family, friends and Bungoma County staff to celebrate the retirement of our Ward Administrator, Justin Mateya, at a farewell party marking the end of her illustrious journey in public service.

For years, Justin served with unmatched diligence, integrity and a genuine heart for the people she served. She was not just an administrator ,she was a listener, a problem-solver, and a true servant of the people, always going above and beyond the call of duty.

Public service is not just a job; it is a calling. And Justin answered that calling with excellence, leaving behind a legacy of dedication that many will strive to emulate.

As she begins this new chapter, I wish her nothing but good health, joy, and fulfillment in her retirement.

On behalf of the people of Bungoma County, thank you, Justin, for your years of selfless service. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

On behalf of the people of Bungoma County and on my own behalf, I extend my heartfelt condolences to my brother, Kakamega Senator Dr. Boni Khalwale, on the sudden passing of his beloved wife, Gloria Sekeiyan Khalwale.

Gloria was a mother, a pillar of her family, and a woman whose life touched many beyond her own household. Her passing is a painful reminder of just how fragile life truly is, and how quickly it can change in a single moment.

To Senator Khalwale and the entire family, especially their children, I stand with you in this time of grief. Western Kenya mourns with you today.

May the Almighty God grant you strength and comfort, and may Gloria's soul rest in eternal peace. ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ
Fare thee well, Mama.

Today I had the honor of welcoming H.E. President William Ruto to Bungoma for the closing of the 98th Kenya Music Festival.

Watching our children from every corner of Kenya Coast, Rift Valley, North, Nyanza laughing and sharing meals together, no one asking where the other was from, reminded me of the Kenya we're building. ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ช
They didn't just come to compete. They came to belong.

Thank you, Mr. President, for choosing Bungoma.

It is with deep sorrow that I announce the passing of Mildred Nafula Nelima, a dedicated member of my office who also served closely with my dear wife, the First Lady of Bungoma County.
Mildred fought a brave and dignified battle against breast cancer. Throughout her illness, she showed remarkable strength, faith, and grace qualities that inspired all who knew and worked with her.
Her dedication to service, her warmth, and her unwavering commitment to duty leave a lasting mark on our office and on everyone whose lives she touched. She will be deeply missed.
"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." โ€” Psalm 34:18
May the Almighty God grant her eternal rest, and may He comfort her family, colleagues, and all who mourn her during this difficult time.
Fare thee well, Mildred. Your service and your courage will not be forgotten.

I was thrilled to welcome young talents from schools across the Country to the National Music Festival. Watching these bright, promising boys come together to showcase their musical gifts was truly inspiring.
Their performances were a powerful reminder of the incredible talent nurtured in our schools. Music like this doesn't just entertain it builds confidence, discipline, and unity among our youth.
I'm committed to continuing to support platforms like this that give our young people the chance to shine. Congratulations to every participant the future is bright! ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ†

I had the privilege of joining the faithful at Chrisco Church in Kimilili for a time of worship and fellowship.

Being among believers united in one spirit reminded me that the church is not just a building, but a family bound together by faith and love.

This experience left me reflecting on the words of Psalm 133:1 โ€” "How good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity!"

In Mukango, Shinyalu Constituency, I joined fellow leaders and residents as we continued engaging the people on the importance of consolidating support for the re-election of H.E. President William Ruto.

As the Mulembe Nation, we have every reason to stand firmly behind this administration. From expanded road networks and affordable fertilizer to investments in healthcare, education, electricity connectivity, and other transformative development projects, our region has witnessed tangible progress that is improving the lives of our people.

Our support is anchored not on empty rhetoric but on a proven development record. Together, let us safeguard these gains and continue working towards a more prosperous, united, and inclusive Kenya.

Later in the day, I joined my in-laws and the people of Nang'oto Village in Webuye East Constituency for the final send-off of my brother-in-law, the late Samson Simiyu.

Samson leaves behind a rich legacy of humility, hard work, love for family, and service to his community.

Though his passing leaves a great void, we find comfort in the memories he created and the positive impact he made on the lives of many.

As we mourn, we are reminded of God's promise in

May these words continue to encourage and strengthen the family during this difficult time.

May the Almighty grant Samson eternal rest and give comfort, peace, and strength to all who mourn him.

Fare thee well, Samson.
