Our transformative Stima Mashinani programme continues to gain momentum across the county as we remain committed to expanding electricity access at the grassroots and improving the livelihoods of our people.

In Ainabkoi Sub County, we have commenced the Upper Mogoon, Irong Farm, Kambi Ogla, and Keweet electrification projects, in addition to the successful completion of the Siliboi electrification project.

Through these strategic investments in the energy sector, more than 16,562 residents are set to benefit from reliable electricity connectivity, opening up new opportunities for economic empowerment, improved security, enhanced learning, and better living standards.

Today, I held a productive engagement with the residents of Keweet in Ainabkoi/Olare Ward, a community that has gone without electricity for decades and is now set to benefit from this transformative initiative.

The expansion of electricity connectivity remains a central pillar of our Nguzo Number 7 agenda as we continue investing in programmes that uplift livelihoods and accelerate socio-economic transformation across our county.

In Kesses Sub County, the Lelmokwo Electrification Project is complete, while implementation of the Greystone, Tabarin, Emkwen, and Koitebes projects is now underway.

These initiatives form part of the 22 electrification projects currently being rolled out across the county to enhance access to reliable and sustainable power.

Engaged residents of Emkwen and Koitebes in Cheptiret/Kipchamo Ward, whose communities stand to benefit greatly from this transformative investment.

We have intentionally invested in our transformative Stima Mashinani initiative, and in Phase One, we successfully delivered six complete electrification projects across the county, positively impacting the lives of our people.

Through the second phase, we are currently implementing 22 projects across our County of Champions, with a target of connecting over 16,562 residents to electricity while accelerating socio-economic growth at the grassroots.

Engaged with the residents of Greystone in Tarakwa Ward ahead of the rollout of the electrification project in the area, which is set to benefit over 1200 residents.

The church continues to play a vital role in nurturing spiritual growth, promoting unity, and strengthening the social fabric of our communities through faith, fellowship, and service.

Today, I joined congregants from AIC Moiben Region at Chepkigen Primary School grounds in Ziwa Ward for a spirit-filled Sunday Service and fundraiser that brought together 105 churches in support of the construction of a commercial building at Ziwa Township.

Represented H.E. President William Samoei Ruto, Interior Cabinet Secretary Onesimus Kipchumba Murkomen, and Kapseret MP Oscar Kipchumba Sudi during this noble initiative, which will greatly enhance the church’s mission and empower its future development efforts.

The North Rift and Western regions are steadily embracing a new agricultural paradigm shift through coffee farming, and I am encouraged to see that farmers in the County of Champions are leading this transformation.

In just two years, we have distributed over 1.6 million coffee seedlings to farmers, with another one million set for rollout through a digital system that attracted over 11,000 applicants and is currently undergoing grassroots verification.

The ongoing construction of the coffee milling plant in Cheramei Township will further enhance value addition and market access for our farmers.

During today's distribution of coffee seedlings to women groups in Mt. Elgon Constituency, Bungoma County, where I joined Governor Kenneth Lusaka alongside Principal Secretaries Harry Kimtai and Juma Mukhwana in reaffirming our commitment to growing the coffee economy across our regions.

Our county’s outstanding prowess in sports, especially athletics, has firmly positioned us on the global stage as the true County of Champions.

Through deliberate investment in sports infrastructure, talent development, and flagship events such as the recent Eldoret City Marathon, we continue to strengthen our reputation as a hub of excellence, resilience, and sporting greatness.

This growing influence continues to inspire neighbouring counties and the wider region. Today, I was honoured to join my colleague, Kenneth Lusaka, in gracing the Mt. Elgon Half Marathon race from Kipsoen to Chemoge in Mt. Elgon Constituency.
