Through the Financing Locally-Led Climate Action (FLLoCA) Programme, Our County is transforming lives through strategic investments in water, irrigation, climate resilience, environmental conservation, and sustainable livelihoods.

Landmark projects such as the Ainet Irrigation Infrastructure Development Project in Kaptagat, the Illula–Cheboin Water Project in Kapsoya, the Kiptang Water Project in Kamagut, the Kipkaren–Ngeny–Kipsamoo Water Project in Ngeria, the Ng’eny Water Investment Project in Ainabkoi/Olare, and the Lamaywet Water Project in Tulwet/Chuiyat are steadily taking shape, enhancing access to clean and reliable water across our County of Champions.

We have also successfully implemented and operationalized the iconic Koitoror Water Project in Tembelio and the Mumetet Water Project in Moiben, alongside the Kapchunga Dam Irrigation Project in Sergoit, the Chebarus Water Project in Megun, and the Chepterit Water Project in Segero/Barsombe Ward.

With more than 90 climate action projects being implemented across the county, we remain focused on building resilient communities, enhancing food security, and protecting our environment.

Appeared before the Senate Standing Committee on Lands, Environment and Natural Resources, chaired by Hon. Mohammed Faki, to highlight the progress and impact of these transformative initiatives.

Mzee Simion Birir (Kapkoyo) of Kamogo family will be remembered as a respected elder, devoted church member, and pillar of the community whose wisdom, guidance, and selfless service touched many lives.

This evening, I joined his family, friends, and the wider community at Ngeleltarit Farm in Kaptagat Ward to convey my heartfelt condolences and stand with them during this difficult time. May God grant them comfort, strength, and peace.
