Eldoret City is steadily becoming an active construction site, thanks to the strong collaboration between the National and County Governments, with more than 10,000 iconic affordable housing units taking shape across Pioneer, AMS, Eldoret City Railway, and Kidiwa Phases I and II.

This progress is further complemented by the construction and upgrading of 12 modern markets, including the ultra-modern market at the heart of our city, which is set to be commissioned by the end of this year.

The ongoing construction of the Kipchoge Keino Stadium is also reshaping our city’s sporting landscape, with the facility set to host the historic Mashujaa Day Celebrations this year.

This evening, I joined President William Samoei Ruto during the inspection of the ultra-modern market and later addressed wananchi in Eldoret City.

Today, I joined H.E. President William Samoei Ruto and other leaders at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), Nairobi, for the National Conversation on Kenya’s Future Beyond Vision 2030.

The conversation provided an important opportunity to reflect on the Kenya we want to build beyond 2030, a nation anchored on shared prosperity, national unity, inclusive development and stronger partnerships across the country.

For Uasin Gishu, this national vision presents an opportunity to position our County of Champions at the centre of Kenya’s next chapter.

Beyond 2030, we envision Uasin Gishu emerging as Africa’s Sporting Capital, a knowledge and innovation hub, and a centre of medical excellence, building on the strong foundation laid by our administration.

This foundation will further drive our ambition to make Uasin Gishu a leading agricultural and agro-processing destination, a premier tourism and investment hub, and a smart, connected county powered by modern infrastructure and a vibrant 24-hour economy.

As Kenya looks beyond 2030, Uasin Gishu is ready to play its part in shaping a united and globally competitive future.
