GISHA VILLAGE ELECTRICITY PROJECT OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED ⚡

A historic moment for the people of Gisha Village in Ruguru Ngandori Ward as we officially launched the Gisha Village Electricity Project, connecting over 70 households to the national grid.

For many years, families in this area lived in darkness, walking long distances in search of electricity and essential services. Today marks the beginning of a new chapter of hope, opportunity, and transformation.

This important project, funded through Manyatta NG-CDF in partnership with REREC, will greatly improve the lives of residents by:

MASOMO BILA STRESS PROGRAM LAUNCHED IN MANYATTA CONSTITUENCY

Today marked a major milestone as we officially launched the Masomo Bila Stress Program at Kairuri Grounds in Manyatta Constituency.

The initiative includes the issuance of
- KSh 52 million in bursary cheques for both day and boarding secondary school students,
-KSh 21 million for students in tertiary institutions,
-KSh 1 million allocated to special schools.

In addition, we rolled out the distribution of computers to 9 day secondary schools at a cost of KSh 6.8 million, a significant investment aimed at promoting digital learning and modernizing education in our schools.

The Masomo Bila Stress Program seeks to reduce the burden of school fees on families while creating a better learning environment for our students and teachers.

We remain committed to strengthening and supporting the education sector across Manyatta Constituency. We sincerely thank all Principals, education stakeholders, and leaders who joined us during this important occasion.

CONSULTATIVE ENGAGEMENT WITH MANYATTA SECONDARY SCHOOL PRINCIPALS

We held a consultative engagement with principals from both day and boarding secondary schools across Manyatta Constituency to review the state of the education sector. The meeting provided an opportunity to listen to key areas that require support as we work together to raise education standards.

Through the Manyatta NG-CDF, notable progress has been made in supporting secondary schools. This includes bursaries exceeding KSh 200 million and the completion of 20 infrastructure projects, covering administration blocks, classrooms, multipurpose halls, and ablution facilities.

We have also launched a programme to equip schools with computers. So far, four schools have received their allocations, with nine more set to benefit in the coming week. This initiative supports the Competency-Based Curriculum and strengthens digital learning in our institutions.

We appreciate the continued commitment of school heads in improving academic performance and shaping a stronger future for our learners.

WE ARE PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THE SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF A MODERN MULTI-PURPOSE HALL AT KITHEGI DAY SECONDARY SCHOOL IN KITHIMU WARD.

This state-of-the-art facility, complete with a fully equipped kitchen and secure storage space, will provide essential shelter for students during lunch hours while also serving as a versatile venue for a wide range of activities including assemblies, examinations, indoor sports, talent shows, drama and music festivals, guidance and counseling sessions, parent-teacher meetings, workshops, seminars, and community events.

LIGHTING UP KEVOTE/KAMAVINDI VILLAGE – NGINDA WARD

It’s all smiles in Kevote/Kamavindi village, Nginda Ward, as residents are now officially connected to the national grid.

We have successfully completed the construction of the electricity line and issued meters to households, marking the end of darkness for 130 families. This milestone brings reliable power closer to the people, improving livelihoods, enhancing security, and opening up new economic opportunities.

We are steadily lighting up Manyatta—village by village. On to the next one.
