Its mandate is to provide cost effective and affordable quality water and sanitation services.

Need a New Water Connection? We’ve Got You Covered!

Here’s how to apply for a new water connection with TAWASCO — quick, simple, and efficient! 👇

✅ Step 1: Pick up a FREE application form at your nearest TAWASCO zonal office. Our staff will help you fill it in correctly.

✅ Step 2: Submit your form and pay the required new connection fee — we’ll inspect your premises within 24 hours.

✅ Step 3: Do your plumbing, then our team will inspect before connection.

✅ Step 4: Once pipes are laid, your water connection will be done within 1 day.

✅ Step 5: A meter will be installed upon paying a refundable deposit (as per our tariff). Refund is made within 3 days after closing the account.

✅ Step 6: During installation, we’ll guide you on maintaining your line, reporting leaks, and saving water.

✅ Step 7: Your first bill will arrive within a month of connection.

This milestone brings us one step closer to ensuring every household has access to safe, reliable water. 💧

Unmetered homes = untracked usage = water loss. 💧

TAWASCO is upgrading the Shemeji–TSC water line (Hola Town)from 2” to 6” HDPE. This aims to ensure over 100 households gain access to clean, safe drinking water and reduce non revenue water. Progress in every drop!

Ongoing Water System Upgrade in Garsen! 💧

We are pleased to announce the ongoing collaborative efforts between TAWASCO and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in upgrading the Garsen Water Supply System.

The County Secretary - H.E Mwanajuma Hiribae, visited the site to inspect the progress of this vital project that will significantly improve access to clean and reliable water for residents.

Scope of Work:
•IOM is laying a 4-inch HDPE mainline from Itsowe to Minjila
•Construction of an elevated steel water tank at Minjila
•Installation of new distribution mains to serve the surrounding communities
•TAWASCO is currently drilling a borehole to increase supply capacity

This partnership marks a major step toward strengthening water infrastructure in Tana River County and ensuring sustainable water access for all.

We appreciate the support of IOM and the County Government of Tana River, and we remain committed to delivering better services to the people we serve.
