It is with great sorrow that I have received the news of the passing of Mzee Laban Cheserek (Ndolo) of Kapchepkulei Village, Saimo/Kipsaraman Ward.

Mzee Ndolo was a respected elder, a proud member of the Korongoro age-set, and a man whose wisdom and counsel were treasured by many. He believed in peace, unity, and the progress of our community, and he never hesitated to guide those who sought his advice.

To me, his passing is deeply personal. Mzee Ndolo stood with me throughout my political journey and gave me his full support when I sought the mandate to serve as the Member of County Assembly for Saimo/Kipsaraman Ward. He believed in me, encouraged me, and constantly reminded me to remain committed to serving our people with humility and integrity.

Our relationship went beyond politics. We kept in touch and visited one another from time to time. I was therefore deeply saddened when I visited him while he was undergoing treatment. We all prayed and hoped that he would recover and return home, but God, in His wisdom, called him to eternal rest.

As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate a life that was well lived, a life of wisdom, humility, and service to the God and humanity. His counsel, kindness, and unwavering faith in the future of our people will remain a lasting inspiration.

On behalf of my family and the people of Saimo/Kipsaraman Ward, I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family, relatives, friends, the Korongoro age-set, and the entire society of Kapchepkulei. May the Almighty God grant you comfort, strength, and peace during this difficult period.

Fare thee well, Mzee Ndolo. Your legacy will live on in the many lives you touched and in the values you so faithfully upheld.

May your soul rest in eternal peace

On behalf of the people of Saimo/Kipsaraman Ward and on my own behalf, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the Assistant Chief, the entire Kipkulei family, relatives, and the people of Kapkombe Sub-Location.

Kogo lived a remarkable life of 105 years, and as we mourn her passing, we also celebrate a life that was truly well lived. May the Almighty God grant the family strength, comfort, and peace as they come to terms with this great loss.

Today I had the privilege of distributing Saanen dairy goats to farmers in Tirimionin .

This is part of the _bottom-up economic agenda_ I promised our people: putting resources directly into the hands of farmers so households can build wealth from the ground up.

Saanen goats are known for high milk yields, fast growth, and adaptability. With proper management, each doe can produce enough milk to feed a family and generate income through sales. This means better nutrition for children, school fees, and financial independence for women and youth.

To the Tirimionin farmers: Take good care of these animals. Let’s also form strong farmer groups for training, feeds, and market linkages. My office will continue partnering with County Agriculture and partners to support you with vet services and capacity building.

“Pesa mfukoni huanza na mbuzi moja.” Today we planted seeds of prosperity in Tirimionin. Together we’ll grow them.

Today was a day dedicated to investing in education and the future of our children.

I was privileged to join Hon. Joseph Makilap, MP Baringo North, in Bartolimo for the official opening of modern ICT rooms. This is a major step in equipping our learners with digital skills needed to thrive in today’s world. We also inspected the ongoing construction of dormitories at Bartolimo, aimed at improving student welfare and boosting school enrollment.

Later, I joined the Kasok Girls fraternity for the official opening of new hostels. We were honored to host Hon. Julius Melly, MP Tinderet and Chair of the National Assembly Education Committee, together with PS Treasury Hon. Chris Kiptoo, former ps prof segor and other educational stakeholders. Their presence underscores the national government’s commitment to education infrastructure in Baringo North.

I thank Hon. Makilap for his partnership in pushing transformative projects, and I commend Hon. Melly and PS Kiptoo for prioritizing our region. As your MCA, I will continue collaborating with all stakeholders to ensure Saimo Kipsaraman gets its rightful share of development.

Education remains the greatest equalizer. Let’s keep building.
