NEW PARTNERSHIP TO IMPROVE KAJIADO ROADS,TRANSPORT NETWORKS .

The Department of Roads, Public Works, Transport and Energy today held a meeting on Transforming Public Transport in Nairobi Metropolitan Area (NMA).

This is a Strategic Framework for Institutional Reform, Service Management, Operator Reform and Urban Integration.

This high level meeting was spearheaded by the County Government of Kajiado. led by the CEC Member for Roads , Transport and Public Works, Dr.Jacktone Achola, and his Chief Officer, Lekina Tutui, in consultation with the State Department for Transport Kenya , JICA Kenya , NTSA KENYA, NaMATA and Council of Governors-Kenya.

The aim is to have a modern, integrated, people-oriented and safe public transport system that connects people, opportunities and the urban centres within the Nairobi Metropolitan Area (NMA).

Governor Lenku commissioned the Olkatetemai bridge in Poka Kenyawa ward,Kajiado East which connects hundreds of residents in the area that is always cut off during the rains.
