What does it take to turn climate knowledge into meaningful action? SIEVE is represented at the Youth Climate Leadership and Advocacy Training to explore this question and more. Our team member J Bryson Njau, joins selected young climate leaders from across Kenya's 47 counties bringing perspectives from Kenya’s ASALs into the national and regional climate conversations, . The training aims to strengthen youth capacity in climate science and risk, adaptation and resilience, early warning and early action, climate policy and finance, and evidence-based advocacy.

The forum running 5–7 October 2026 at the ICPAC Centre in Ngong is convened by ICPAC with support from AGRA.

Visited Beats Of Beads Trust as part of the learning journey for the Social Innovation Eco-Village (SIEVE). We were inspired by its self-sustaining model, iconic Beads Museum, and the way it combines women’s economic empowerment, cultural heritage and enterprise.

The model also demonstrates the circular economy in practice minimizing waste, recycling and creating value while drawing on indigenous knowledge and local skills.

A powerful reminder that sustainability can preserve culture, protect the environment and create livelihoods at the same time.

We are glad to have Social Innovation Eco Village Enduata - SIEVE on board for SEM Innovation Week 2026. 🤝

The Social Innovation Eco-Village Enduata (SIEVE) is EmpServe Kenya's most ambitious platform to date and one of the most compelling models of community-driven innovation on the region. Situated on 14 acres in Enduata, Kajiado County, SIEVE is often described as Africa’s Icon of Sustainability . It combines off-grid solar energy, climate-smart agriculture, natural building techniques, digital skills training through Code Clubs, and startup incubation.

The initiative brings together technology, entrepreneurship, sustainable livelihoods, indigenous knowledge and environmental conservation, and has already been featured in national and international media as a scalable model for rural resilience.

As we collaboratively 🤝 work on a permanent water source in the Eco-Village, we would like to appreciate WorldServe International Kenya for ensuring the village is running by supplying sufficient fresh water for our current community initiatives impacting hundreds of residents around the village. Clearly Transforming lives through water !
