Steady progress is being made on the upgrading of the Gatitu–Karimamwaro–Kandara Road to bitumen standard under the 63 Kilometres Roads Programme in Kandara Constituency.

A glimpse of the ongoing works on the Mutoho–Kagumoini–Ndiriini–Kariti Road, which is being upgraded to bitumen standard.

The project is part of the 63-kilometre road upgrades underway in Kandara Constituency, aimed at improving connectivity, easing movement, and supporting economic growth across our communities.

The ongoing recarpeting of the Gacharage–Githumu–Kangari Road is progressing well. This project reflects our commitment to improving infrastructure, enhancing connectivity, and supporting development in Kandara Constituency. Additionally, another 63km of roads across the constituency are currently being upgraded to bitumen standard.

🚨 HELP US FIND JAMES WANJAU GICHUHI 🚨

Our community is seeking your help to locate James Wanjau Gichuhi, a 34-year-old boda boda rider from Githumu, Kandara, who has been missing since Friday, 26th June 2026.

James left home that morning for work on his motorcycle and has not returned. His family and loved ones are deeply concerned and continue to search for him.

Description:

* Dark complexion
* About 5'2" tall
* Medium build
* Short, unkempt hair
* Speaks Kiswahili and Kikuyu

If you have seen James or have any information that could help trace him, please call Josphine Wangui Gichuhi on 0702 900 729 or report to the nearest police station.

A reward of KSh 10,000 will be given for credible information leading to his whereabouts.
