Network of African Science Academies The General Assembly is the Overall decision making body of NASAC comprising of the presidents of the member academies.

NASAC brings together science academies and facilitates discussions on the scientific aspects of challenges of common concern, so as to make common statements on major issues relevant to Africa and to provide mutual support to member Academies. The Network of African Science Academies (NASAC) was established on 13th December 2001 in Nairobi, Kenya, under the auspices of the African Academy of Scie

nces (AAS) and the Inter Academy Panel (lAP).The NASAC leadership structure consists of the General Assembly, the Board, the Secretariat and Executive Director's from the member academies. The NASAC Board is the Executive arm of NASAC and it constitutes a chair, 3 vice chairs, member-in-charge of scientific matters, secretary General, Treasurere and immediate past President.
