Earlier today, we received the Commission on Administrative Justice - Office of the Ombudsman, at our County Assembly.

The delegation led by the Vice Chairperson Dorothy Jemator, was received by the Honorable Speaker Dr.Patrick C Mutai and the Clerk Martin Epus.

Together, they held discussions on ways to work collaboratively towards strengthening service delivery to Kericho county residents.

The Commission is mandated to promote good governance, accountability, fairness and transparency in Public service.

Today, the Senate Standing Committee on Education, led by the Chairperson Hon. Betty Batuli Montet, visited Kericho County on an oversight mission to assess the implementation status of ECDE centres and vocational training centres across the county.

The committee, together with the County Assembly Committee on Education chaired by Hon. David Maritim of Chepseon Ward, toured various learning institutions to evaluate the progress made and address challenges affecting learners.

During the visit, the committee emphasized the need for county governments to invest more in creating conducive learning environments through adequate learning facilities and the implementation of sustainable feeding programmes in learning institutions.
