Today, I was deeply honored to worship with fellow believers at Sitian Deliverance Church in Kedowa/Kimugul Ward, Kipkelion East Sub-County. The Sunday service was a truly powerful experience, filled with uplifting praise, heartfelt prayers, and inspiring sermons that not only strengthened our faith but also reinforced the spirit of unity within our community.

The fellowship offered a blessed opportunity to connect with brothers and sisters in Christ, share testimonies of God’s goodness, and renew our spiritual commitment together. It was a day of joy, encouragement, and divine renewal, reminding us of the importance of walking in faith and supporting one another as a family in Christ."

Congratulations to Edwin Kiptoo, Luke Kiprop and Rebecca Chesir on outstanding performances at the 2026 Adidas Stockholm Marathon, a prestigious road race that attracted over 25,000 athletes to the streets of the Swedish capital.

Edwin Kiptoo executed a perfectly judged race, surging to the tape in 2:10:46 to claim the men's title. Luke Kiprop matched him stride for stride for much of the race, finishing second in 2:11:53, a fine double for Kenya.

Rebecca Chesir was dominant on the women's side, running with great strength and composure from start to finish to win in 2:23:31.

Wishing them continued fitness and many more podium finishes in the seasons ahead.

My heart goes out to the families of the young lives lost in the devastating dormitory fire at Utumishi Girls Academy, Gilgil, Nakuru County. I pray for the swift and full recovery of the injured, and may the souls of the departed rest in eternal peace.

The authorities should launch an immediate investigation and ensure those responsible are held to account. The circumstances that left these students unable to escape raise serious questions that must be answered without delay.

To every family affected by this tragedy, may the Almighty grant you strength and peace in this hour of pain.

Congratulations Ferdinand Omanyala for winning the men's 100m at the Xiamen Diamond League meeting in 9.94 seconds, making it four consecutive sub-10 performances this season. With consistency, determination and sheer speed, Ferdinand proved that he remains a formidable force on the global sprinting stage.

Equally commendable is Faith Cherotich, who ran a strong 8:52.53 to claim third place in a women's 3000m steeplechase that featured some of the most elite steeplechasers on the circuit, and she handled the pressure of that company brilliantly.

We are proud of you, Ferdinand and Faith, for flying the Kenyan flag high on the global athletics stage. Keep winning and we wish you even greater performances in the season ahead.

At Kimologit Faith Church, Kipkelion West, Kericho County, I joined the faithful in Sunday worship , drawing strength from God's grace and renewing purpose in God's presence.

We are reminded that every mandate we carry as national leaders is a divine responsibility. To serve this nation is to honour the One who places leaders in their seasons.

May the week ahead be guided by God's wisdom, grounded in grace, and dedicated to the service of our people.

It was a profound honor to join the faithful congregation of AIC Kiboybei in Kapsoit Ward, Ainamoi Constituency for a powerful Sunday church service.

I am deeply grateful for the incredibly warm reception, uplifting fellowship, heartfelt prayers, and words of encouragement from the members today.

I later worshipped with the faithful at Full Gospel Churches of Kenya, Kimolwet, Chemugusu, Kapkugerwet Ward, Ainamoi Constituency. The fellowship was rich and I drew strength from the assurance of Psalm 28:7 that says, "The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and He helps me."

We prayed fervently for our beloved nation, for robust economic growth and a Kenya where every citizen is spiritually nourished. After the service, we rallied behind a fundraiser towards the completion of the church building project, a worthy cause that speaks to the faith and devotion of this Christian community.

Grateful for the fellowship and the prayers offered for Kenya. May God guide our nation forward.

This evening, I joined other leaders, family members, and members of the community in paying my condolences to the family of the late Alice Soi of Kiptewit Village, Cheboin Ward in Bureti Constituency, as we came together to contribute towards offsetting the hospital bill and making arrangements for a befitting send-off.

Mama Alice Soi was a woman of faith, humility, and a generous heart. She embodied the values that bind communities together and her Christian faith was visible in the way she lived and loved those around her.

May the memories of Mama Alice bring comfort and peace to all who mourn her, and may her soul rest in the arms of the Lord.
