Today, together with other leaders, I had the opportunity to join the faithful at Fortenan Catholic Church in Kipkelion West Constituency for a Sunday service.

I am grateful to the clergy and the congregation for the warm welcome and for the opportunity to worship and fellowship together. Our faith continues to remind us of the importance of unity, humility, compassion and service to our communities.

As leaders, we must continue to seek God’s guidance and wisdom as we serve our people and work together for the development of our communities and our country.

As the Bible reminds us in Proverbs 3:5–6:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

Honoured to join elite runners, fellow leaders and thousands of committed Kenyans this morning at the third edition of the Belgut Half Marathon, cutting through the scenic highlands of Kericho.

This noble initiative brought our community together in support of education for bright, needy students while promoting fitness. The energy proved palpable, the cause deeply resonant, and the collective spirit truly inspiring.

Congratulations to the host Hon. Nelson Koech for organising this wonderful event with such vision and care. Well done to the winners in the men's and women's categories and to the elite runners on their superb athletic displays. Your presence truly mattered.

To the young beneficiaries, this run was for you. Your education is our investment and your success our pride. Thank you to all who made today possible.

Have a blessed Sunday.

Congratulations to Emmanuel Wanyonyi on a commanding victory in the men's 800m at the Lausanne Diamond League, crossing the line in 1:42.19 to add another title to his collection and reaffirm his standing among the world's elite middle-distance runners.

Faith Cherotich also produced a commendable performance, finishing second in the women's 3,000m steeplechase in 9:01.90 behind Bahrain's Winfred Yavi, with fellow Kenyan Doris Lemngole placing fourth.

Team Kenya continues to demonstrate class and consistency in distance running as the season builds toward the Diamond League Final in September in Brussels. I congratulate and wish every Kenyan athlete continued strength and success.

I applaud H.E. the President William Samoei Ruto for launching the National Conversation on Kenya's Transformation Agenda Beyond 2030 today at KICC, Nairobi. Anchoring this dialogue in our Constitution, and elevating it into a National Development Charter that outlives electoral cycles, is the kind of long term thinking Kenya needs.

This conversation must reach every corner of the country. Our tea farmers, youth, boda riders, teachers and small traders all have a stake in defining what dignity, jobs, water, healthcare and housing should mean in their daily lives. The ideas Kenyans bring forward, Kericho included, will shape a future that speaks directly to the people who will live its outcomes.

Kenya's transformation does not happen in isolation from our region either. As we work on peace and stability in the Great Lakes, we are reminded that a secure and prosperous neighborhood strengthens our own progress. A stable Great Lakes region opens up wider markets and trade corridors for our agricultural exports, tea among them, carrying our produce and our people's enterprise beyond our borders.

Every Kenyan should embrace this national conversation and we appreciate the President for this bold and timely undertaking, in this journey that will define the Kenya we all envision beyond 2030.

Honoured to join H.E. President William Ruto’s family at their Kilgoris farm today for the Koito ak Chaik ceremony.

This sacred traditional rite, rich in cultural meaning and family values, brought two families together in a spirit of unity, respect and joyful celebration of Charlene Ruto and Isaya Yunge. It was a radiant moment filled with heritage, warmth and shared happiness.

May their union be blessed with enduring love, deep understanding, abundant joy and lasting happiness that lights their path for a lifetime.

Today, I joined family, friends, teachers, and education stakeholders at Maria Joy Academy along Ngoino Road in Chemosot Ward, Bureti Constituency, for a thanksgiving ceremony in honour of Ms. Clara Chebet following her election as the Kenya Union of Post-Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) Executive Secretary for Kericho County.

Her election is a testament to the confidence that teachers have in her leadership, dedication, and commitment to advancing the welfare of educators. As she assumes this important responsibility, I encouraged her to continue championing the interests of teachers while fostering unity, professionalism, and constructive engagement in the education sector.

I congratulate Clara on this remarkable achievement and wish her success as she embarks on this new chapter of service. May her leadership contribute to strengthening the teaching profession and improving the quality of education for the benefit of our learners and future generations.

Congratulations to my good friend, Dr. John Ngeno, OGW, EBS, General Manager for Supply Chain and Logistics at Kenya Power, on being named Africa Public Sector Procurement Trailblazer of the Year at this year's 8th Africa Procurement and Supply Chain Conference and Awards in Lagos, Nigeria.

It is a proud moment to see a son of Kericho and Kenya honoured at this level, among the continent's foremost procurement and supply chain leaders.

This recognition reflects the depth of expertise and integrity Dr. Ngeno has brought to public sector procurement over the years, and the standard of leadership he continues to set for institutions across the region.

Well done, Dr. Ngeno, on this well deserved recognition.

Warm congratulations to Faith Cherotich, the newly crowned Commonwealth Games Champion!

With brilliance and determination, she stormed to gold in the women’s steeplechase at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, setting a breathtaking Commonwealth Record of 9:01.76. In doing so, she shattered the previous record of 9:15.68 set by Jackline Chepkoech in Birmingham 2022.

This is yet another proud moment for . Faith’s victory not only cements Kenya’s steeplechase legacy but also inspires the next generation of athletes to dream bigger and aim higher.

Congratulations to Team Kenya on a magnificent podium sweep in the men's steeplechase at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Edmund Serem led the charge to claim gold, with Simon Koech and Leonard Kipkemoi Bett following closely to secure silver and bronze. A complete sweep of the podium, and a clear sign of the strength and depth of our steeplechase tradition.

Kenya remains the home of steeplechase excellence. We are proud of these champions and the honour they have brought to our nation.

Hong'era!

It was a great privilege to join the faithful of AIC Itoik Church in Londiani Ward for the ordination of 12 Reverends, a significant milestone in the life of the church and a testament to God's continued work in raising servants for His Kingdom.

Together with Kipkelion East MP Hon. Joseph Cherorot, Dr. John Ng’eno and other leaders, we celebrated this special occasion while thanking God for the dedication, faithfulness and commitment demonstrated by the newly ordained ministers as they answered His call to serve.

The ordination of these servants of God is not only a blessing to the AIC fraternity but also to the wider community, as they take up the responsibility of shepherding God's people, promoting peace, nurturing spiritual growth and strengthening moral values within our society.

Congratulations to all the 12 Reverends on this remarkable achievement. May the Lord grant you wisdom, humility, courage and abundant grace as you embark on this sacred ministry.

I also honoured an invitation to the Family Thanksgiving Day at St. Kizito Parish, which brings together twenty two churches. It was a beautiful moment of collective gratitude and fellowship as families lifted their voices in praise for God's abundant blessings.

May God continue to bless AIC Itoik Church, its leadership and the entire congregation.
