Child in Family Focus Child in Family Focus is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that champions family based care for orphaned & vulnerable children through care reform.

We are dedicated to ensuring that all children grow up in caring and loving families as opposed to institutions (Children Homes). The three core pillars of our work are care reform advocacy, governance monitoring as well as actual de-institutionalization efforts. We are committed to completely eradicating or reducing considerable the reliance on institutions (Children Homes) for the care and prote

Yesterday We joined the State Department for Children Services, Macheo Children's Home, and other child protection stakeholders for a Kiambu Benchmarking Visit on Foster Care Programming.

Through shared experiences, practical lessons, and open discussion, participants explored how we can strengthen foster care and expand quality family-based care options for children.

When we learn together, we strengthen the systems that support children.

The Church has a role to play in care reform. 💙

CFFK, together with State Department for Children Services Kenya (SDCS) and World Without Orphans (WWO), brought 39 church leaders from Kiambu County together to explore how faith communities can support vulnerable children and families.
