Today we were at Kahawa Law Courts in Solidarity of the Mawego 8 who were arrested in Homabay County on FALSE ALLEGATIONS of TORCHING a Police Station station.

The eight had earlier been charged in Oyugis Law Courts but were released by the Court for luck of Evidence.
And were Immediately Re Arrested by the (ATPU) They travelled last night all the way from Homabay to be presented in Kahawa Law Courts today.

Thanks to the brave team of lawyers led by Hon Babu Owino, Wanjira Maina, Abner Mango And Julius Juma who have put up a spirited fight in Court to secure their release.

The ruling for the BOND application has been adjourned to 22th July 2025.
Meanwhile they have been remanded at Kamiti Maximum Prison.
