The Clinical Officers Council is currently in the final stages of the student indexing exercise for the March 2026 intake across all accredited training institutions. Indexing is a mandatory regulatory requirement for all clinical officers' students; this process ensures the formal recognition of enrollment within the Council’s records and serves as a vital prerequisite for eligibility for future professional examinations and eventual licensure.

The Council wishes to express its appreciation to all training institutions and the student body for their cooperation in ensuring the timely completion of this essential regulatory process.

The Clinical Officers Council is pleased to announce the successful deployment of the 2026 internship cohort. We extend our gratitude to the Cabinet Secretary for Health, Hon. Aden Duale, for his leadership in placing 2,801 Clinical Officer interns, comprising 705 BSc and 2,096 Diploma holders—who will officially commence their rotations July, 2026. CEO Ibrahim Wako noted that this deployment is a vital step toward stabilizing the healthcare workforce and ensuring clinical excellence across the country. Interns are advised that they will be able to download their internship licenses from the Council’s portal starting this Monday, while logbooks and codes of conduct are currently being dispatched to all respective internship centers. We congratulate our new cohort and wish them success as they begin their service.

The May 2026 exam results have been officially released! Candidates can view their scores via the COC Portal. The Council extends its congratulations to all successful candidates and wishes them the best in their upcoming professional endeavors.

To everyone who has applied for the COC exams but whose FQE approval is still pending:
Please note that the exam application deadline does not affect you as long as you have already submitted your application.
Once your FQE is approved, you will then proceed to make the required payment.
Kindly remain patient as the approval process is being finalized. Thank you for your understanding.
