Please rest assured that the exam application deadline does NOT affect you, as long as you have already submitted your application!

Here is what you need to know regarding the next steps:

🗓️ Payment Deadline: The final deadline to make your payment is 3rd September 2026.

The blueprint for tomorrow’s healthcare workforce is being written today. On August 17 and 18, 2026, the Clinical Officers Council convened a consultative forum with universities offering Clinical Medicine, uniting regulatory oversight and academic leadership.

The core agenda focused on the strategic harmonization of curricula to eliminate training silos, bridge operational gaps, and ensure that every graduate enters clinical practice with standardized competence.

Guiding the dialogue were key institutional leaders, including Dr. Joseph Choge, Chairman of the Clinical Officers Council, and Ibrahim Wako, CEO/Registrar, alongside Training Committee Board Members and University Academic Leadership.

Leadership emphasized the imperative to uphold and elevate institutional training standards, reinforcing that excellence safeguards public trust and patient care. This collaborative initiative between regulators and academi serves as a vital step in strengthening the health ecosystem.

The Clinical Officers Council is currently in the final stages of the student indexing exercise for the March 2026 intake across all accredited training institutions. Indexing is a mandatory regulatory requirement for all clinical officers' students; this process ensures the formal recognition of enrollment within the Council’s records and serves as a vital prerequisite for eligibility for future professional examinations and eventual licensure.

The Council wishes to express its appreciation to all training institutions and the student body for their cooperation in ensuring the timely completion of this essential regulatory process.

The Clinical Officers Council is pleased to announce the successful deployment of the 2026 internship cohort. We extend our gratitude to the Cabinet Secretary for Health, Hon. Aden Duale, for his leadership in placing 2,801 Clinical Officer interns, comprising 705 BSc and 2,096 Diploma holders—who will officially commence their rotations July, 2026. CEO Ibrahim Wako noted that this deployment is a vital step toward stabilizing the healthcare workforce and ensuring clinical excellence across the country. Interns are advised that they will be able to download their internship licenses from the Council’s portal starting this Monday, while logbooks and codes of conduct are currently being dispatched to all respective internship centers. We congratulate our new cohort and wish them success as they begin their service.
