Solidarity African Alliance is a progressive political party registered in Kenya with the aim of upholding constitutionalism, cherishing the dreams of our freedom fighters & propagating sound democratic practices at all levels of the party's platforms. A Social solidarity economy is an ethical and values-based approach to economic development that prioritizes the welfare of people and planet, over
profits and blind growth. In SSE, ordinary people play an active role in shaping all of the dimensions of human life: economic, social, cultural, political, and environmental. SSE exists in all sectors of the economy; production, finance, distribution, exchange, consumption and governance. It also aims to transform the social and economic system that includes public, private and third sectors. SSE is not only about the poor, but strives to overcome inequalities, which includes all classes of society. SSE has the ability to take the best practices that exist in our present system (such as efficiency, use of technology and knowledge) and transform them to serve the welfare of the community based on different values and goals. Understanding SOLIDARITY helps us to understand each another, it enables us to build a stronger society , together and for everyone. There is no single definition of SOLIDARITY but we have 4 main cornerstones and 7 supporting concepts that lead us to a common ground in understanding SOLIDARITY. The 4+7 are infact a mix of values, attitudes, priorities and approaches that can help us piece together the puzzle. The 4 cornerstones are: EMPATHY, ACTIVE CITIZENSHIP, HUMAN RIGHTS & INCLUSION
The 7 supporting related concepts that make up SOLIDARITY are: SOCIAL JUSTICE, EQUALITY OF OPPORTUNITY, SUPPORT, STRENGTHENING COMMUNITIES, ACTIVE PARTICIPATION, VOLUNTEERING & RESPONSIBILITY.
4+7 make up SOLIDARITY .
