Continuous support and capacity building for farmers in regenerative farming are key to improving sustainable livelihoods and strengthening community resilience.

A few weeks ago, our Country Director and Co-Founder, Heleen Verbeek, together with the Project Manager, Jeconiah Kibagendi, visited GIK hibiscus farmer Catherine Gachoki during a field visit.

Through the project, Catherine has learned how to integrate trees with high-value crops such as hibiscus and moringa, creating a more diverse and productive farming system while supporting soil health, biodiversity, and household livelihoods.

In April 2025, William Kemei planted several tree species, including the indigenous Olea africana.
Today, he proudly stands beside his Olea tree, which has already grown taller than he is.

What William sees is not just a thriving tree before him, it is a future he is building for his children and generations to come.
Every tree planted is an investment in a healthier environment, improved livelihoods, and a more resilient future.
Driven by determination and a vision for sustainability, William is demonstrating that agroforestry is more than farming—it's a lasting legacy.

At Green Intelligence Kenya Ltd, we believe every tree planted restores landscapes, strengthens livelihoods, and builds a climate-resilient future.
Growing Trees. Restoring Landscapes. Transforming Lives.

Organic Mulches:
Our farmers are embrasing Mulching.
Materials like straw, dry grass, compost, wood chips, and crop residues.

These materials are excellent for long-term soil health because they decompose over time, adding vital nutrients and improving soil structure.

Mulch also will help ur farmers to rely on such materials to supress weeds.
