Community Initiatives Concern Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) Transformation to a NGO on 7th May, 2009 was due to increased quest for services by the different target communities.

Community Initiatives Concern (CINCO), is a Kenyan based Non-Governmental Organization with its main office in Kisumu City, Kenya, East Africa. CINCO started as a Community Based Organization (CBO) in the year 2002 and officially registered as a CBO on 30th April, 2003. CINCO works to towards building sustainable community development avenues to improving Health, Social services and Entrepreneursh

ip, Disaster Relief and Advocacy. CINCO’s principle mandate is to design, implement and evaluate a multi-component evidence based health, Environment and human rights research and intervention projects that improve the health and socio-economic status of individuals and target communities. CINCO is a grass root NGO with its activities directed to and drawn from the community level/ individual level.

Kisumu County is a malaria endemic zone and several efforts are being made by global fund through Amref and Cinco in collaboration with Kisumu County government to scale up Community case management of Malaria.

🎻Music can play a great role in fostering social cohesion!🎼

This month in , we sponsored a concert, co-organized by our partners Un Ponte Per... and the Iraqi Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities to celebrate the country's rich multicultural heritage and the recent addition of the ancient city of Babylon to UNESCO's prestigious World Heritage List.

The concert featured performances from Mshakht, an ensemble of young musicians from various ethnic and religious groups in the Nineveh Plains. The group was brought together as part of our Ninewa Return Program which aims, among other things, to strengthen dialogue and rebuild trust witihin the region’s diverse communities.

TB may sound like a disease of the past but it is still a real concern today.Let's be vigilant of it. When unwell take action and go for treatment. Also TB patients should avoid close contact with friends to help prevent its spread. Community Initiatives concern keeps track and investigates all TB contacts.
