AFRICA NEEDS A MINDSET RESET, BUT WHAT DOES THAT MEAN FOR US?

Our Executive Director, Mary Mutula, recently joined the Africa Mindset Reset Forum in Kigali, Rwanda.

The conversations challenged participants to think beyond Africa's challenges and focus on African agency, leadership, innovation and action.

At Tuboreshe Pamoja, this resonates deeply with what we do every day.

We believe change starts when young people move from simply discussing problems to participating, organizing, creating solutions and taking action within their communities.

From climate action and governance to youth empowerment and SRH, the work is already happening.

The mindset reset is simple:

Don't only ask what Africa needs.
Ask what you can contribute.

From planning to planting. 🌱🌍

Today, we brought the team and key stakeholders together on-site to turn plans into action. We have secured the land on a renewable lease, confirmed access to water, and put the groundwork in place for planting to begin.

This is more than planting trees. It is about restoring our environment, strengthening climate resilience, and creating a shared responsibility for the future of our communities.

Grateful to everyone who made today’s progress possible. The groundwork is done. Now, the real work begins.
