From the desk of MCA Mwanake Dennis Today, on Thursday the 5th of February 2026, we took action. We began routine maintenance on the Nthangu–Kako–Ngovu–Wambiti Road to smooth the surface, cut vehicle repair costs, and make movement easier for our people.
This is about results, not excuses.
We have already completed light grading on the Mbumbuni–Mithika–Kyangondu Road, and more roads are next. Step by step, we are opening up our villages and unlocking opportunity.
Good roads mean stronger businesses, better markets for our farmers, and dignity for our people.
We promised development—and today, we are delivering.
Forward we move. No turning back

Miau Earth Dam Brings Water Relief

For many years, water scarcity was a harsh reality for our people. Between 2017 and 2022, residents endured extreme hardship. A woman from Kwa Katheo recalled waking up at 4:00 a.m. every day to fetch water from a shallow well, queuing for over an hour to collect only four jerrycans. At times, she had to abandon the water to prepare her children for school, later returning to seek help just to transport it home. This was the painful daily struggle faced by many families.

This story deeply touched Hon. Dr. CPA Mwanake Dennis Musyoka , the current MCA and Chairperson of the Budget and Appropriations Committee, Makueni County Assembly. Moved by the people’s suffering, he shared it with His Excellency Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jr., sparking action.
Today, that hardship is giving way to hope. Water trenching works are underway, contractors are on site, tanks are being installed, and clean water is now reaching Kwa Katheo and Mba. We give glory to God, for true leadership guides people to where they need to be, not merely where they wish to go.

To the people of Sakai, Sofia, Kyangondu, Kingathuni, Nthaatwa, Kathamba, Mba, Nthangathini, Nthunthuni, Ngovu, and the slopes of Kandulyu and Mituvu, your turn is coming. Hon. Mwanake Dennis and H.E. Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jr. have more good news on the way.

The Governor has assured residents of Waia/Kako that the water agenda remains firmly on track. Water from the Makaia and Linga boreholes will serve Nthaatwa, Kwa Katheo Hill, and surrounding areas, with rehabilitation works already in progress.
This is leadership that listens and delivers.

Ongoing excavation of Kwa Mateng'e Earth Dam

Today, Water Engineers, Ward Development Officer, Office of MCA staff inspected the Ongoing excavation of Kwa Mateng'e Earth Dam , a critical water infrastructure project aimed at addressing water scarcity and strengthening drought resilience in Usalala Sub-location.

The project, marks a significant milestone in Hon. CPA Dennis Musyoka efforts to combat water scarcity.

Mwanake Dennis has highlighted the project’s transformative impact, noting that it goes beyond infrastructure to become a lifeline for the community.

He further emphasizes his commitment to shifting from short-term relief interventions to long-term resilience-building strategies to enhance Universal Water Coverage in Waia/Kako Ward.
