Today, as we celebrate International Workers' Day, we remember and salute particularly the many grassroot women who are determined to turn their common problems into common wealth through investing in entrepreneurship and leadership training. We also can't forget to thank our partners with whom we continue this fight aimed at alleviating poverty in our communities. Thank you KCB for supporting our initiative. SIT continues to rescue and train young girls through its "Tools Of Trade Initiative (TOTI"...Indeed, as the late President of South Africa liked to say, using "your hands to do good in the world..."

We conclude our Meet the Judges series by introducing Dr Christa Bonnet, member of the Awards Judging Panel.
Dr Bonnet is a recognised leader in financial management and organisational transformation. She has been honoured with the African Woman Leader Award in both 2022 and 2024 and is deeply committed to advancing women’s empowerment and supply chain development across Africa.
She currently leads innovation initiatives through The Difference Makers Group while pursuing a Doctorate in Ministry, combining leadership, purpose, and impact.
We are honoured to have her expertise contributing to this year’s awards adjudication.

Founder and CEO of DAKU (PTY) Ltd, Ms Daku brings over 26 years of experience in law, property development, legal services, and energy investment. She has been instrumental in revitalising small towns, promoting energy efficiency, and advancing entrepreneurship.
She currently serves as Chair of SEDA and Deputy Chair of the University of the Western Cape Council, and is widely recognised as a multi-award-winning entrepreneur committed to mentoring future leaders through the Daku Academy.
Her expertise will play an important role in recognising leaders who are shaping Africa’s future.

Mr Ntwiga brings more than 25 years of humanitarian and community leadership from Kenya. His work has significantly advanced global development and human rights initiatives. As a former President of the Rotary Club of Meru and founder of Solidarity International Trust, he has led impactful projects including refugee support initiatives and educational programmes for migrant children.
His leadership and experience will guide the integrity and credibility of the adjudication process.
