The CEO of the Mombasa County Public Service Board - CS Fadhil Maamun, joined H.E. Governor Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir to issue appointment letters to 70 newly recruited ECDE teachers, Caregivers, and Vocational Training Center Instructors. This initiative is part of the county’s ongoing efforts to enhance education and skills training.

During the ceremony, the CEO expressed appreciation for the Governor’s vision and dedication to every child of Mombasa County. He highlighted transformative initiatives under the Governor’s leadership, including free education, increased staffing, construction of modern schools, and the free school feeding program. He commended the previous Board for overseeing the competitive hiring process, and congratulated the appointees emphasizing that the new cohort proudly represents Mombasa’s diverse community.

The recruitment was free and fair compliance with national Values and Principles as enshrined in article 10 and 232 of the constitution.

The Mombasa County Public Service Board, led by Chairperson Farida Abdalla, today commenced the mass recruitment of 286 nurses as advertised.

In line with the Board’s mandate on capacity building and professional development, Mombasa County Public Service Board in partnership with the department of Transport and Infrastructure, welcomed a new cohort of interns during an orientation training held at the Inspectorate Headquarters in Tudor.

The session was officiated by Board Chairperson Farida Abdalla and attended by Hon. Wepukilu, Hon. Dan Manyala, Prof. Ali Sharif, Mr. Liban Hirsi, Ms. Ruthyana Mumbua and other county officials.

The internship programme aims to equip young graduates with practical skills, mentorship, and workplace experience for effective public service delivery.

The initiative also supports Pillar Three of H.E Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir manifesto on addressing public transport challenges while strengthening human capital development for the future.
