The induction programme for Sub-County Administrative Officers continues with insightful and engaging sessions focused on strengthening administrative capacity and service delivery.

The second day was graced by the County Chief of Staff, Dr. Noah Akala, who engaged the officers on the Governor’s Manifesto, providing insights into the County Government’s priorities and development agenda.

The programme aims to equip officers with the knowledge, skills and institutional understanding necessary to effectively perform their duties while strengthening responsive, efficient and people-centred service delivery at the grassroots.

Mombasa County Public Service Board, in collaboration with the Department of Serikali Mtaani, has kicked off a three-day induction programme for Sub-County Administrative Officers, aimed at strengthening their capacity to effectively serve residents at the grassroots level.

The programme was officially opened by H.E. the Deputy Governor of Mombasa County, Hon. Francis Thoya, who underscored the importance of effective grassroots administration in advancing efficient, responsive and people-centred service delivery.

The induction brings together Sub-County Administrative Officers for focused engagements on their roles, responsibilities, coordination and effective delivery of county services.

The Mombasa County Public Service Board sincerely appreciates LAPFUND for its support towards the induction programme and for its partnership in promoting capacity building and strengthening public service delivery.

The Mombasa County Public Service Board, in collaboration with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC), conducted a Data Protection Sensitization Exercise for Board Secretariat staff.

The training was undertaken to equip staff with the knowledge and practical understanding needed to responsibly collect, process, store, share and safeguard personal data in the course of their official duties.
As a public institution that handles significant amounts of personal information relating to job applicants, employees, stakeholders and members of the public, staff play a critical role in ensuring that personal data is handled lawfully, securely and responsibly.

The Board is registered with the ODPC as both a Data Controller and a Data Processor, making compliance with the Data Protection Act, 2019 and related data protection requirements an important part of our institutional responsibility.

Through continuous staff sensitization, the Board is strengthening its data protection practices, promoting accountability and building a culture of privacy and responsible data management across the institution.
