The County Government of Mombasa has successfully concluded the Performance Contract Evaluation Exercise for the 2025/2026 Financial Year, bringing together County Government departments to assess performance against their agreed targets, commitments and performance indicators, in line with the County’s development priorities.
The exercise was coordinated by the Office of the County Secretary and Head of Public Service and conducted by external evaluators from the Directorate of Public Service Reforms, with a focus on strengthening performance management, accountability, efficiency and results-oriented service delivery across the County Government.
Throughout the evaluation, departments reviewed their planned deliverables, key performance indicators and commitments, presented evidence of achievements, identified areas requiring greater attention and explored opportunities for improved implementation and coordination.
The evaluators acknowledged the progress made across County departments and commended the County Government of Mombasa for its efforts towards strengthening institutional performance and accountability.
The Performance Contract Evaluation Exercise provides an important framework for measuring institutional performance, promoting accountability and ensuring that County programmes, activities and resources remain aligned with the needs and priorities of the people of Mombasa.
The successful completion of the exercise reaffirms the County Government’s commitment to strengthening a culture of performance, accountability, efficiency and excellence in public service delivery.
