🌾Mombasa ASK Show 2026 has officially kicked off and is buzzing !🔥 Representing H.E Governor Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir , H.E Deputy Governor Francis Thoya proudly led as the Guest of Honour today.

Together with ASK National Chairman John Kibira, Deputy Jane Chepkwony, ASK CEO Bathram Muthoka, Mombasa ASK Chairman Henry Nyagah, alongside county officials and esteemed guests, the team toured a massive array of ground-breaking technologies, public services, and local enterprises.

Exceptional displays and vital community solutions were witnessed during tours of key exhibition stands, including:

Kenya Railways Corporation, Kenya Wildlife Service, National Lands Commission, Coast Water and Sewerage Company, Agriculture and Food Authority, Coast Women in Fisheries, Majestic Digital Hub, Catholic Archdiocese of Mombasa, Kenya Medical Training College, Kenya Coast Guards.

The team equally visited the Kenya Prisons, Mafanikio DT Sacco, Mombasa Maize Millers, Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Service, Kenya Medical Supplies Authority, KETRACO, Tsavo Seed, Kenya Meat Commission, Coast Development Authority and the County Government of Mombasa stands.

This year's powerhouse theme is 'Promoting Climate-Smart Agriculture and Trade Initiatives for Sustainable Economic Growth'.

The gates are open at the ASK showground in Nyali Mkomani , over 250 exhibitions which this year's show has attracted are world-class, and the future of sustainable Agriculture and trade is right here in Mombasa!

Open Call for Youth Climate Action Projects

Are you between 15 and 24 years old?

Do you have an innovative idea that can help address climate change in Mombasa?

The County Government of Mombasa, through the Bloomberg Philanthropies Youth Climate Action Fund (YCAF), invites applications from youth and youth-serving organizations for innovative, community-driven climate action projects.

Selected projects will receive grant funding from a total award of USD 50,000 to implement initiatives that create measurable environmental and community impact.

We are looking for projects in areas such as:

* Waste management and recycling
* Plastic pollution reduction
* Urban greening and tree planting
* Coastal ecosystem protection
* Climate education and awareness
* Water conservation
* Renewable energy
* Sustainable transport
* Climate-smart agriculture
* Circular economy
* Green innovation and entrepreneurship
* Nature-based solutions

Who can apply?

* Young people aged 15–24 residing in Mombasa County
* Youth groups
* Youth-led organizations
* Youth-serving organizations (where permitted by programme rules)

What we are looking for

Projects should be:

* Youth-led
* Innovative

✨🚧 OWINO UHURU...The CECM for Transport, Infrastructure and Governance Mr Manyala Dan , together with Chief Officer Eng. Ali Shariff and Serikali Mtaani officers, held a one-on-one engagement with the residents of Owino Uhuru in Jomvu Sub County, to listen to their views regarding the ongoing infrastructure improvements in the area by the county government.

The access road project is being enhanced with modern street lighting and stormwater drainage infrastructure, aimed at improving accessibility, road safety, security and resilience within the community.

The County Government remains committed to working closely with residents to deliver infrastructure that responds to the needs of our communities.

Today, Lands and Serikali Mtaani CECM Mohamed Hussein Amadoh,Chief Officer Eng Marian Mapenzi together with other county officials attended a stakeholder meeting on the proposed public utilities within the Dongo Kundu Special Economic Zone Resettlement Area.

The meeting, brought together National government entities including the State Department for Lands and Physical Planning, KPA , NGAO besides other stakeholders to discuss the provision of essential facilities including access roads, markets, healthcare, education, recreational spaces and cemeteries for the area residents.

We continue to work together to ensure that the resettlement area is well planned and equipped with the necessary public services for the benefit of the residents.

🚧Road marking works are currently being done across various roads within Mombasa CBD, with PWD ♿ parking areas already painted and clearly demarcated.

The exercise that is being undertaken by the Department of Transport and Infrastructure Mombasa County.will also see other roads in the county progressively marked to improve parking management, enhance road safety, and promote order on our roads.

Motorists are encouraged to observe the designated parking areas and road markings even as the County Government continues to improve the city’s road infrastructure.

The ongoing works were supervised by Transport and Infrastructure CECM Mr Manyala Dan .
