Today’s Farmers Field Day, organized by the Kenya Dairy Board, was a vibrant platform that brought together farmers, innovators, and industry leaders to advance the future of dairy farming. The event was graced by Francis Kimani Kuria, highlighting the critical role of agriculture in driving economic growth and community livelihoods.

Farmers engaged directly with a diverse range of dairy and agricultural stakeholders; from government agencies to private sector players, who showcased modern technologies, services, and practical solutions to enhance productivity, milk quality, and sustainability across the value chain.

Key highlights of the day was the awarding of certificates to 300 farmers who received training on best dairy practices earlier in the week, and donation of aluminum milk cans to the farmer groups. This initiative is aimed at promoting compliance with recommended milk handling standards, encouraging the use of food-grade aluminum cans to improve milk safety, quality, and market access.

The Field Day provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange, partnership building, and empowering farmers with the tools and innovations needed to transform dairy farming into a more profitable, sustainable, and resilient enterprise.
