On 10th August 2027, the people of Busia County will have the opportunity to choose the leadership and direction they want for the next chapter of our county.
I have offered myself for the position of Governor because I believe Busia deserves leadership that listens, serves and delivers.
My vision is simple: a Busia where healthcare works, our farmers prosper, our children receive quality education, our youth and women have opportunities, our roads and water systems improve, and public resources are used responsibly.
This journey is not about one person. It is about all of us and the future we want for Busia.

Today, under the leadership of the Head of Public Service and Chief of Staff, Mr. Felix Koskei, convened the seventh monthly coordination meeting with Principal Secretaries to assess the implementation of key government programmes, review progress made, address emerging challenges, and reinforce collaboration across ministries. The government remains focused on accelerating the delivery of government priorities for the benefit of all Kenyans.

The true measure of any county government is how it cares for its people when they are most vulnerable.
A mother in labour, a child with a fever, or an elderly patient should never have to wonder whether they will receive quality care. Every resident of Busia deserves a healthcare system that is reliable, well-equipped, and compassionate.
Our mission is simple: restore dignity to healthcare, invest in our hospitals, support our health workers, and put patients first.

Today Sunday, I joined the family, relatives, friends, and the people of Osia Village, Angurai North, to mourn with the family of the late Yohana Etila and celebrate a life that touched many.
Though we grieve his passing, we also give thanks for the moments, memories, and legacy he leaves behind. May those cherished memories continue to inspire and comfort his loved ones in the days ahead.
To the bereaved family, may you find strength in God's unfailing love and in the support of those around you. May the soul of the late Yohana Etila rest in eternal peace.

This evening during our public engagement, alongside the official opening of the new ablution block and the launch of the market floodlights at Kemodo Market, I listened to the concerns and aspirations of our people. Their priorities remain clear: better support for fishing, quality healthcare, modern agriculture, clean and reliable water, and passable roads.
These are not unreasonable demands—they are basic services every resident of Busia County deserves. Unfortunately, years of poor leadership have left many communities without the development they were promised.
The time has come for a new direction. Together, we can build a county government that delivers, empowers our people, and restores hope through honest, accountable leadership and effective service delivery.

I stood in solidarity with the family of the late Veronica Amuchere Akumu during her final send-off in Ageti, Ang'oromo, alongside Hon. James Ongole and Hon. Patrick Omanyala, Members of the Busia County Assembly.
As we honored a life well lived, I also spoke about our shared journey to restore quality service delivery in Busia County. I reaffirmed my commitment to improving healthcare, constructing and equipping ECDE classrooms, employing more ECDE teachers, expanding access to clean water, and improving our road network.
I noted that many residents continue to express dissatisfaction with the current state of service delivery and called on the people of Busia to unite behind a leadership that prioritizes accountability, development, and the needs of every citizen. Together, we can restore hope and build a better Busia.
May the soul of Mama Veronica Amuchere Akumu rest in eternal peace.

We joined family, friends, and the community in honoring his life and offering our heartfelt condolences. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
