At the Kenya Railways stand, the Principal Secretary, State Department for Transport, was briefed on the Corporation’s upcoming rail parcel service, which will provide an additional option for the movement of parcels by rail.

The PS also noted Kenya Railways’ continued public awareness efforts against fraudsters and was taken through innovations being showcased by the Railway Training Institute (RTI).

The engagement highlighted the Corporation’s focus on innovation, public awareness and improved service delivery.

The Principal Secretary, State Department for Transport, today visited the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) stand at the Mombasa ASK Show, where he was briefed on the Authority’s achievements in improving vessel operations and port efficiency over the past five years.

He also viewed a live demonstration of the Vessel Traffic Management Information System (VTMIS), which enables real-time monitoring of vessel traffic and supports effective port flow management.

The engagement highlighted KPA’s continued efforts to enhance efficiency and facilitate trade through technology and innovation.

From Policy to Action!

The State Department for Transport and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) have signed a Cooperation Agreement to advance Kenya’s electric mobility agenda.

The partnership will support the development of the legal and regulatory framework for e-mobility, strengthen institutional capacity, promote public awareness and unlock investment in electric vehicle manufacturing, assembly and charging infrastructure.

A key step towards a sustainable, inclusive and investment-ready electric mobility sector in Kenya.
