The Principal Secretary for Higher Education, Dr. Beatrice Muganda Inyangala, had the honour of officially opening the 17th Inter-University Council for East Africa (IUCEA) Annual Conference in Nairobi, yesterday at the Argyle Hotel, Nairobi, on behalf of the Cabinet Secretary for Education, Hon. Julius Migos Ogamba, EBS.
Held under the theme, "Powering the Future of Higher Education in East Africa through Strategic Partnerships and Collaborations," the conference has convened higher education leaders, policymakers, scholars and development partners from across the East African Community to deliberate on the future of higher education in the region.
Dr. Inyangala reaffirmed Kenya's commitment to strengthening regional collaboration in higher education through partnerships that promote academic excellence, research, innovation, quality assurance, and the mobility of students and academic staff, while advancing a vibrant East African Common Higher Education Area.
She wished all delegates fruitful deliberations as they work together to shape the future of higher education in East Africa
