PATIENCE PAYS AND HAS NO REGRET.
The Dangerous Rush for Wealth
In these times, many people are struggling desperately to succeed in life in every possible way. Everywhere you look, there is pressure to become wealthy, powerful, and influential. Sadly, this struggle is often fueled by comparing ourselves with others who appear successful, yet we rarely know the true source of their success or the path they took to obtain it.
Because of this unhealthy desire, many people have begun chasing wealth by any means available. Some enter into dishonest businesses, corruption, deception, and other sinful practices simply to become rich quickly. The hunger for money and status has blinded many hearts, making them forget that life is not only about earthly success but about the condition of the soul.
The danger in this pursuit is that it can slowly lead people away from God. When wealth becomes the primary goal, righteousness is often sacrificed. Many may gain the whole world, yet lose their souls in the process. The tragedy is that some will only realize this when it is too late.
Scripture warns us in 1 Timothy 6:10 that “the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.” When the desire for wealth controls a person’s heart, it opens doors to many other sins that ultimately destroy both life and eternity.
For this reason, it is far better to walk patiently with God. Whether one is working, doing business, or pursuing any opportunity, it is wise to remain faithful, honest, and content while trusting the Lord for provision. The wealth that comes from God carries peace, dignity, and no sorrow attached to it. As it is written in Proverbs 10:22, “The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.”
God’s timing may seem slow, but His blessings are pure and lasting. What He gives does not destroy the soul, and it never leads to regret. True success is not measured by how much wealth one accumulates, but by walking in righteousness and remaining faithful to God.
My prayer is that Christians everywhere will learn to trust in God fully, resist the temptation to chase worldly riches at the cost of their souls, and patiently wait for the blessings that come from the Lord. For in the end, it is better to have little with God and enter heaven, than to gain great wealth and lose eternity.
