The State Department for Diaspora Affairs, through its initiative, participated in the Interdenominational Prayers Day for Chemase Zone Senior Schools at Kapsigilai Girls Senior School, Chemase-Chemelil, Nandi County.
The event was graced by Mr.Felix Koskei, Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service.
Led by Ms. Jennifer Wanami of the Skills and Expertise Division, the SDDA team briefed students, parents, teachers and members of the public on the Departmentβs mandate to protect, empower and connect Kenyans living abroad.
Participants were also sensitized on safe and orderly labour migration, fair recruitment channels, diaspora welfare, consular support, investment opportunities, skills transfer, and the importance of using official verified platforms when seeking opportunities overseas.
The outreach formed part of the Departmentβs ongoing efforts to raise awareness of government services offered through the State Department for Diaspora Affairs and to ensure Kenyans are well informed and prepared as they pursue opportunities worldwide.
Mr. Brian Kipchirchir, Ms. Deborah Ruto, and Mr. Chris Ndegwa were in attendance.
