Movement, meaning and a shared rhythm ❤️

In Samburu culture, dance is deeply rooted in tradition, with each ceremony carrying its own purpose. The rain dance ritual is performed by women, calling for rainfall and celebrating the connection between people and the land. The dance of the warrior is one of the most recognisable, where morans leap high in turn, demonstrating strength, stamina and pride.

These dances are more than performance. They are a way of preserving identity, strengthening community bonds and passing stories from one generation to the next. Through rhythm, song and movement, Samburu culture continues to be shared, lived and celebrated.

The Safari Collection has always believed that tourism can be a force for good. That founding purpose still guides us today, shaping how we protect wildlife, support communities and care for the landscapes that make each of our properties so special.

In 2025, every journey with us continued to give back. Through our Footprint Trust, we supported meaningful work across conservation, community, education and health, helping protect both wildlife and the people connected to these landscapes.

From rhino conservation and giraffe protection to school meals, scholarships, dental clinics and community development, this is what travelling with purpose looks like in action.

Big news for giraffe lovers… Remembering Giraffes Kickstarter campaign is about to launch 🦒📚

The 11th book in the Remembering Wildlife series brings together some of the world’s finest wildlife photographers to celebrate an iconic species while raising vital funds for conservation.

Launching on Kickstarter from 27 March, supporters can secure advance copies at a special price, along with a range of exclusive rewards.
