As part of the Presidential directive and national target of planting 15 billion trees by the year 2032, staff from Kenya Rural Roads Authority Headquarters, in partnership with the Vihiga Region team, today participated in a tree planting exercise at the Maragoli Forest as part of the Authority’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
Through this noble environmental conservation effort, KeRRA has adopted 27 hectares of the Maragoli Forest for rehabilitation and restoration, reaffirming its commitment to sustainable environmental management, climate action and the protection of Kenya’s natural ecosystems for future generations.
The exercise was graced by the Chief Forest Conservator, Vihiga County, Ms. Hellen Sikuku, alongside KeRRA staff and regional stakeholders who joined hands in supporting the government’s ambitious tree growing agenda.
Together, we are building greener communities, restoring our forests and securing a sustainable future one tree at a time.
