LAIKIPIA WEST, LAIKIPIA COUNTY, KENYA

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 1ST, 2026

My heart is full. We have had a powerful and candid meet-and-greet with leaders from Kirima, Ol Moran, Sipili, Wangwachi, Matwiku, Kinamba and surrounding areas.

We engaged in a broader conversation about our people, our shared aspirations and the road ahead.

We must put our people first and work together beyond individual interests.

The task ahead is bigger than any one of us, and it calls for unity, courage and a shared commitment to the betterment of our people.

Ahsanteni sana. Tumeanza tu, na tunarudi tena hivi karibuni.

NARUMORU-NGARENG’IRO, TIGITHI WARD, LAIKIPIA EAST CONSTITUENCY

MONDAY, 24TH AUGUST 2026

Today, we have begun one of the most significant infrastructure projects in Laikipia East — the recarpeting of the Narumoru–Ngareng’iro–Makutano Road.

This is a road whose completion will mean a great deal to our people. For farmers, traders, students, families and motorists who depend on this corridor every day, a better road will translate into easier movement, reduced travel time and improved access to markets and essential services.

The work is already taking shape, with excavation and stripping, road balancing, cutting works along various sections and survey works currently underway.

We know that road construction can come with temporary inconveniences, but the bigger picture is clear: we are investing in infrastructure that will serve our people for many years to come.

Step by step, section by section, we are opening up Laikipia East.

NOSIRAI, MUKOGODO WEST, LAIKIPIA NORTH, LAIKIPIA COUNTY

FRIDAY, 21ST AUGUST, 2026

Today, I had the honour of joining the residents of Nosirai Village in Ilimotiok, Laikipia North, for Lkimwatu — a deeply treasured Maasai cultural ceremony marking the transition of warriors into junior elders.

Lkimwatu is more than a ceremony. It is a moment of passage, where a generation moves from the responsibilities of warriors into a new season of wisdom, guidance and community leadership. It is a celebration of age, identity, heritage and the values that bind generations together.

Standing among the elders, warriors, families and the wider community was a powerful reminder of the richness of our African traditions. In the songs, blessings, colours and age-old rituals, there is a story of a people who have preserved their identity while carrying their culture from one generation to the next.

Congratulations to the new generation of junior elders.

MAJENGO AND LIKII, LAIKIPIA EAST, LAIKIPIA COUNTY

THURSDAY, 20TH AUGUST 2026

Today was one of those days that remind me why public service is deeply personal.

I had a wonderful engagement with the people of Likii and Majengo in Nanyuki. We shared, listened to each other and reflected on the journey we have taken together. I was particularly encouraged by the level of satisfaction expressed by residents on the progress we are making in implementing the mandate they entrusted to me.

We later had the opportunity to distribute food and non-food items to elderly persons and some of the most deserving members of our communities in Likii and Majengo. It was a small gesture, but seeing the appreciation on the faces of our people was a powerful reminder that sometimes, service is simply about showing up for one another.

I am truly grateful. Ahsanteni sana watu wangu.

TSP Readiness and the Road Ahead

Today, we held a productive meeting on preparations for the next General Election and the role TSP intends to play in the electoral process.

The meeting discussed our readiness to field candidates across the elective positions, with the exception of the presidency, as part of our broader preparations for the coming election.

We also reaffirmed the importance of conducting our political activities with confidence, discipline and respect for the democratic process. While political competition will inevitably come with differing opinions and criticism, our focus remains on building a strong and organised political movement and engaging Kenyans on issues that matter to them.

The road ahead requires preparation, unity and clarity of purpose. We remain committed to that process.

KIAMARIGA AND LAMURIA, LAIKIPIA COUNTY

MONDAY, 17TH AUGUST 2026

A New Dawn in Kiamariga and Mwakinya
More than 300 households in Kiamariga and Mwakinya switched on to a new chapter today.
Together with Energy PS Alex Wachira, we launched electricity connectivity in Kiamariga, Salama Ward, and Mwakinya, Tigithi Ward.
For these families, electricity means more than light. It means children studying after sunset, businesses staying open longer, safer homes and new opportunities.
And for some, it means the simple joy of switching on a light at home for the very first time.
That is development people can see, feel and experience.
