The National Liberal Party (NLP) today held a consultative meeting with the People's Liberation Party (PLP) at Liberation House, reaffirming our shared commitment to citizen-centered leadership and issue-based politics.

Together, we have agreed to commence a nationwide citizen engagement program focused on listening to Kenyans and addressing the challenges that matter most, including youth unemployment, the high cost of living, and opportunities for MSMEs.

A Joint Technical Committee has been established to develop a framework for structured engagement across the country, ensuring that the voices of youth, women, and businesses help shape Kenya's future.

As liberal allies within the emerging United Opposition, NLP remains committed to inclusivity, unity, and empowering citizens to participate in building a better Kenya.

The National Liberal Party fully supports the statement issued by the NLP Youth League regarding the suspension of fuel price protests. While dialogue is important, meaningful action must follow. Kenyans deserve lower fuel prices, a fair cost of living, and leadership that listens to the people. We remain committed to standing with wananchi until real change is achieved.

The National Liberal Party (NLP) Youth League, fully supports peaceful and lawful demonstrations by Gen Z and all citizens who are demanding accountability, particularly on the rising cost of living.

We stand with Kenyans in calling for transparency and immediate action. The NLP therefore demands

The immediate publication of the government's fuel pricing formula to ensure full transparency. A 90-day suspension of VAT on petroleum products to ease the burden on citizens

Further, we call on the government to convene an urgent multi-stakeholder forum within seven (7) days. This forum must bring together Gen Z representatives, transport operators, labor unions, energy experts, and political leaders across all divides, including the NLP youth league, to find lasting and inclusive solutions.

Kenyans deserve honesty, fairness, and practical solutions-not silence.
