🎖️🪖 Celebrating Founder’s Day with Pride 🎖️🪖

We are the Kahawa Garrison Scouts Group, a proud military-based scouting unit under the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF). Founded within Kahawa Military Camp, our mission is to unite young people—children of our brave soldiers—through meaningful activities that build character, leadership, and resilience.

This weekend, we proudly joined the rest of the world in celebrating Founder’s Day, honoring the spirit and legacy of scouting. We salute all former members, leaders, and the new generation of scouts who carry the torch with energy and passion.

A special salute to the Kenya Defence Forces Scouts Association (KDFSA) and scouts worldwide for their dedication and service.

We were honored to have Brigadier Mohamud Farah, Base Commander of Laikipia Air Base (LAB), represent the Chief of Defence Forces during the 115th Scout Founder’s Day celebrations on 22 February 2025.

The Scouts Salute: A Gesture of Respect and Unity

The Scouts salute is more than just a hand gesture—it's a powerful symbol of respect, loyalty, and unity among Scouts worldwide. This iconic salute, given with three fingers raised, represents the three parts of the Scout Promise: duty to God and country, helping others, and obedience to the Scout Law.

When a Scout raises their hand in salute, they show respect to their leaders, peers, and the community. It’s a reminder of their commitment to serve and uphold the values that Scouting instills. Each time we use the salute, we renew our pledge to live by these values—honor, kindness, and integrity.

Let’s all stand proud with the Scouts salute, a small gesture with a big meaning. Together, we build a world of respect, responsibility, and unity.
