Honoured to host a delegation from DEFTEC and the Kenya Defence Forces at NIT. The team led by DEFTEC Commandant Brigadier A.O Aloka and Colonel Catherine Kipngok visited the NIT for a benchmarking exercise.
Speaking during the exercise on Thursday 28th May 2026, Commandant A.O Aloka commended NIT for the amazing work we are doing churning out quality, skilled graduates ready for the market. This, he said, was the reason NIT was one of the 3 TVET institutions chosen for the benchmarking exercise. - Shout out to our amazing NIT alumni whose impact out there is clearly creating ripples everywhere.
At the meeting, we shared how we continue to empower our students with top-tier skills relevant to today's market. It was a great moment exchanging knowledge, building on ideas, and sharing about the future of TVETs in Kenya. The delegation also included Lieutenant Colonel Lilian Wanjiru, Major Arvince Ogendi, Major Grace Dieka, Major Joseph Githuku, and Major David Musyoka.
Notably, this is not the first institution to benchmark with NIT. We have had TVET institutions come to benchmark with us for different courses. Our doors are always open. Proud to be at the forefront of shaping the future of Technical Education in Kenya.
