Kenya and Thailand Seek to Deepen Strategic Partnership ahead of 60th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations in 2027

เมื่อวันที่ 19 สิงหาคม 2569 น.ส. จิรัสยา พีรานนท์ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงไนโรบี พร้อมด้วยข้าราชการและเจ้าหน้าที่สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ทีมประเทศไทย และคู่สมรส จัดกิจกรรมจิตอาสาบำเพ็ญสาธารณประโยชน์และบำเพ็ญสาธารณกุศล เนื่องในโอกาสวันคล้ายวันพระราชสมภพสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวงและวันแม่แห่งชาติ 12 สิงหาคม 2569 โดยร่วมกับกาชาดเคนยา จัดกิจกรรมมอบอาหารและสิ่งของจำเป็นให้แก่ครอบครัวที่มีเยาวชนสตรีเป็นหัวหน้าครอบครัว ณ กาชาดเคนยา สำนักงานกรุงไนโรบี

กิจกรรมดังกล่าวมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อน้อมสำนึกในพระมหากรุณาธิคุณของสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวงที่ทรงเป็นองค์สภานายิกาสภากาชาดไทยตั้งแต่ปี 2499 จนเสด็จสวรรคตเมื่อปี 2568 และทรงประกอบพระกรณียกิจในการบำบัดทุกข์ บำรุงสุขของประชาชนตลอดพระชนม์ชีพ และโดยที่เป็นวันแม่แห่งชาติ สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้กำหนดกลุ่มเป้าหมายของกิจกรรมเป็นเยาวชนสตรีที่เป็นหัวหน้าครอบครัว (แม่เลี้ยงเดี่ยว) เพื่อชื่นชมบทบาทในการเป็นหัวหน้าครอบครัวและให้กำลังใจแก่เยาวชนเหล่านี้

On 19 August 2026, H.E. Ms. Jirusaya Birananda, Ambassador-Designate, along with diplomats and staff of the Embassy, Team Thailand, and their spouses, organized a volunteer and charitable public service activity to mark the Birthday Anniversary of Her Majesty the late Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother and National Mother's Day 12 August 2026. In collaboration with the Kenya Red Cross, the Embassy distributed food and essential supplies to vulnerable families headed by young women at the Kenya Red Cross Nairobi Office.
The activity aimed to tribute and express gratitude for the royal grace of Her Majesty the late Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, who served as the President of the Thai Red Cross Society from 1956 until her passing in 2025, dedicated her life to alleviating public suffering and promoting national well-being. Recognizing National Mother's Day, the Embassy specifically dedicated this event to young female household heads (single mothers) to honor and encourage them in their roles as family pillars.

เมื่อวันที่ 19 ส.ค. 2569 นางสาวจิรัสยา พีรานนท์ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงไนโรบี และเอกอัครราชทูตผู้แทนถาวรไทยประจำสหประชาชาติ ณ กรุงไนโรบี พบหารือกับนางสาว Jane Makori รองอธิบดีกรมเอเชียและแปซิฟิก ณ กระทรวงการต่างประเทศและกิจการโพ้นทะเลแห่งสาธารณรัฐเคนยา ในโอกาสที่เอกอัครราชทูตฯ เข้ารับตำแหน่งที่กรุงไนโรบี โดยรองอธิบดี Makori ได้ให้การต้อนรับเอกอัครราชทูตฯ อย่างอบอุ่น และแลกเปลี่ยนข้อคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับภาพรวมความสัมพันธ์ทวิภาคีไทย-เคนยาที่จะครบรอบ 60 ปีของการสถาปนาในปี 2570 โดยเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ให้ความสำคัญกับการผลักดันการทูตเศรษฐกิจ การส่งเสริมความร่วมมือด้านสาธารณสุข การท่องเที่ยว และการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน การเสริมสร้างบทบาทของไทยในแอฟริกา และ การส่งเสริมความร่วมมือเพื่อ ป้องกันและปราบปรามปัญหาอาชญากรรมออนไลน์

On 19 August 2026, H.E. Ms. Jirusaya Birananda, Ambassador-designate of Thailand to Kenya and Permanent Representative of Thailand to the United Nations in Nairobi met with Amb. Jane Makori, Deputy Director-General of Asia and the Pacific Directorate, at the Ministry and Diaspora Affairs of Kenya, on the occasion of the Ambassador’s assumption of duty in Nairobi. DDG Makori extended warm welcome to Ambassador Jirusaya and exchanged views on the overview of Thailand-Kenya bilateral relations which will celebrate its 60th anniversary of establishment in 2027. Ambassador Jirusaya also emphasized on the importance of economic diplomacy, cooperation on health, tourism, sustainable development, Thailand’s constructive roles in Africa and the enhancement of cooperation on prevention and suppression of online scams.

น.ส. จิรัสยา พีรานนท์ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงไนโรบี เป็นประธานในพิธีสวดพระพุทธมนต์ถวายเป็นพระราชกุศล และถวายราชสักการะสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง เนื่องในโอกาสวันคล้ายวันพระราชสมภพ และวันแม่แห่งชาติ 2569 ณ สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงไนโรบี โดยมีข้าราชการสถานเอกอัครราชทูต ทีมประเทศไทยและคู่สมรสเข้าร่วม

H.E. Ms. Jirusaya Birananda, Ambassador-designate, presided over the merit making ceremony on the occasion of the Birthday Anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, and National Mother's Day, 12 August 2026 at the Royal Thai Embassy in Nairobi. The Ceremony was attended by Embassy officers, Team Thailand and their spouse.

กิจกรรมเฉลิมฉลองงานวันอาเซียน ปี 2569
ASEAN Day celebrations for 2026

เมื่อวันที่ 8 ส.ค. 2569 สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงไนโรบี ในฐานะสมาชิกคณะกรรมการอาเซียน กรุงไนโรบี (ASEAN Committee in Nairobi: ACN) ได้ร่วมเป็นเจ้าภาพการจัดงานวันอาเซียน ปี 2569 (ASEAN Day 2026) ณ ทำเนียบเอกอัครราชทูตอินโดนีเซียประจำเคนยา กรุงไนโรบี ซึ่ง ACN ประกอบด้วยคณะผู้แทนทางการทูตของอินโดนีเซีย (ประธาน ACN ในปี 2569) มาเลเซีย ฟิลิปปินส์ และไทย เพื่อเฉลิมฉลองครบรอบ 59 ปี ของการก่อตั้งอาเซียน โดยมีผู้เข้าร่วมประมาณ 150 คน จากกระทรวงการต่างประเทศเคนยา คณะผู้แทนทางการทูตต่างประเทศ ณ กรุงไนโรบี ผู้แทนชุมชนประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียน ภาคเอกชนเคนยา และมิตรของประเทศไทยและอาเซียน (friends of Thailand and ASEAN) ในโอกาสนี้ นาย Mustafa Ibrahim ตำแหน่ง Deputy Director General และ Head of Policy, Research and Strategic Analysis Directorate เป็นแขกเกียรติยศในฐานะผู้แทนปลัดกระทรวงการต่างประเทศเคนยา

ในโอกาสนี้ สมาชิก ACN ต่างร่วมกันเชิญชวนผู้เข้าร่วมได้ร่วมรับประทานอาหารกลางวัน ซึ่งเป็นอาหารท้องถิ่นของประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียน สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้นำเสนอรายการอาหารที่น่าสนใจในฐานะมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมของไทย ได้แก่ ผัดไทย ทอดมันปลา ขนมตะโก้ และชามะนาว

On 8 August 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy, as member of the ASEAN Committee in Nairobi (ACN), co-hosted the ASEAN Day celebrations for 2026 at the residence of the Ambassador of Indonesia to Kenya. The ACN consists of the diplomatic missions of Indonesia (current Chair), Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand. The ACN celebrated the 59th anniversary of ASEAN’s establishment, joined by approximately 150 participants from the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs of Kenya, diplomatic corps, ASEAN Communities in Kenya, the Kenyan Private Sector, as well as friends of Thailand and ASEAN. Mr. Mustafa Ibrahim, Deputy Director General and Head of Policy, Research and Strategic Analysis Directorate, was in attendance as the event’s Guest of Honour and representative of the Principal Secretary for Foreign Affairs.

ACN missions jointly invited participants to enjoy local cuisine from ASEAN countries. The Royal Thai Embassy also showcased Thailand’s rich cultural heritage with padthai (stir fried rice noodles with sweet, sour and salty flavors), tod mun pla (fish cakes), tako puddings, and Thai lemon tea.

เมื่อวันที่ 5 สิงหาคม 2569 น.ส. จิรัสยา พีรานนท์ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงไนโรบี และเอกอัครราชทูตผู้แทนถาวรไทยประจำสหประชาชาติ ณ กรุงไนโรบี เข้าเยี่ยมคารวะนาง Guo Haiyan เอกอัครราชทูตจีนประจำเคนยา ในโอกาสที่เอกอัครราชทูตจิรัสยาฯ เข้ารับตำแหน่งที่กรุงไนโรบี ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้แลกเปลี่ยนเกี่ยวกับความสัมพันธ์และความร่วมมือกับเคนยาและแอฟริกา ทั้งด้านการค้า การลงทุน การท่องเที่ยว ความร่วมมือทางวิชาการ

On 5 August 2026, H.E. Ms. Jirusaya Birananda, Ambassador-Designate of Thailand to Kenya and Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Nairobi, paid courtesy call on H.E. Mrs. Guo Haiyan, Ambassador of China to Kenya on the occasion that the Ambassador-designate assumed duty in Nairobi. During the meeting, both sides exchanged on a range of issues on relations with Kenya, including trade and investment, tourism, and technical cooperation.

เมื่อวันที่ 4 สิงหาคม 2569 นางสาวจิรัสยา พีรานนท์ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงไนโรบีและเอกอัครราชทูตผู้แทนถาวรไทยประจำสหประชาชาติ ณ กรุงไนโรบี ได้เข้าเยี่ยมคารวะ Dr. Adarsh Swaika เอกอัครราชทูตอินเดียประจำเคนยา ในโอกาสที่เอกอัครราชทูตจิรัสยาฯ เข้ารับตำแหน่ง โดย Dr. Swaika แสดงความยินดีและกล่าวต้อนรับเอกอัครราชทูตฯ พร้อมทั้งแลกเปลี่ยนข้อคิดเห็นในประเด็นต่างๆ เช่น การลงทุนของอินเดียในเคนยา การพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจ และความสนใจของชาวเคนยาในการเดินทางมารับการรักษาพยาบาลที่ประเทศไทย เป็นต้น

On 4 August 2026, H.E. Ms. Jirusaya Birananda, Ambassador-designate and Permanent Representative of Thailand to the United Nations in Nairobi, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Dr. Adarsh Swaika, High Commissioner of India to Kenya, on the occasion of her assumption of duty. Dr. Swaika extended his congratulations and warmly welcomed Ambassador Jirusaya. The two Ambassadors also exchanged views on a range of issues, including Indian investment in Kenya, economic development, and the growing interest among Kenyans in traveling to Thailand for medical treatment.
