What a day with some of the family at Harrison's Cave ! It was an awesome adventure we all enjoyed from the tram tour into the cave, to feeding the birds, to zip-lining and the challenge course. Thumbs up for a day well spent enjoying the island 🇧🇧

It was our distinct pleasure to welcome His Excellency The Most Honourable Jeffrey Davidson Bostic, President of Barbados, to Harrison’s Cave Eco-Adventure Park this week. 🇧🇧

His Excellency enjoyed a visit through the park, including an opportunity to experience the natural wonder of Harrison’s Cave and connect with members of our team.

We were honoured to share a part of the Harrison’s Cave experience and showcase one of Barbados’ treasured natural attractions.

Thank you, Your Excellency, for spending the day with us. We hope you enjoyed the adventure! 💚

It was an honour, following Sir Garry’s State Funeral on Wednesday, to celebrate the life of our National Hero by sharing cherished memories and wonderful stories of a truly remarkable man.

I changed into a maroon suit, paired with the official Cricket Legends Sir Garfield Sobers tie, as a small tribute to a giant of the game whose influence extended far beyond the boundary.
Throughout the afternoon, I found myself reflecting on the extraordinary impact Sir Garry had on our nation and the world.

His impact has been profound.

His life has been so deeply woven into the story of Barbados that it is difficult to imagine our journey without his presence.

Your final innings, Sir Garry, but what a match it has been. May your legacy of excellence continue to inspire this nation.

Rest well, our Hero. Rest well.

What a weekend! Delighted to be in the presence of my predecessor and one who acted for both of us, taking in some cricket at Kensington Oval.

Cricket means something very special to us in Barbados and indeed to the Caribbean region.

Over the weekend I spent some time enjoying the game that has long united our region, especially as we honour the extraordinary life and legacy of Sir Garfield Sobers, whose impact on the sport and on Barbados will never be forgotten.

Pictured: sharing a few words with The Very Reverend Dr. Jeffrey Gibson, who frequently performs the functions of Acting President; greeting Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley; and enjoying moments with family, friends, and colleagues in public service.

It is with profound sorrow that I join the people of Barbados, and indeed the world, in mourning the passing of our National Hero and cricketing legend, The Right Excellent Sir Garfield Sobers. Sir Gary was more than a sportsman; he was the embodiment of Barbadian excellence, resilience, and grace. His genius on the cricket field brought glory to our nation and inspired generations across the globe, while his humility and humanity off the field reflected the very best of who we are as a people.

As President, I extend heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and all who cherished him. His legacy is etched not only in the record books of cricket, but in the very spirit of our nation. Barbados has lost a son of incomparable stature, yet we remain forever enriched by the gift of his life and the example he set.

May we honour his memory by striving for greatness in our own pursuits, and may his soul rest in eternal peace.

He will forever be the greatest cricketer the world has ever seen.

Sir Garfield Sobers
A legend and a hero.
Well played!
