أقام السفير/ حاتم يسري، سفير جمهورية مصر العربية في كينيا حفل استقبال بمناسبة الاحتفال بالذكرى الرابعة والسبعين لثورة يوليو في كينيا.
أشار السفير/ حاتم يسري في كلمته أنه كان لثورة 23 يوليو 1952 في مصر تأثير عميق ومباشر على الدول الأخرى في محيطها العربي والإفريقي والعالمي. كما لعبت دوراً محورياً في دعم حركات التحرر الوطني ضد الاستعمار، خاصة حركة التحرر الوطني في كينيا عام 1963، مشيراً إلى لجوء عدد من القادة الكينيين وقتذاك مثل "أوجينجا أودينجا" و"جيمس جيشورو" إلى مصر ليتمكنوا من الترويج لقضيتهم بالاستقلال دولياً.
أكد السفير/ حاتم يسرى أهمية تعزيز العلاقات بين البلدين لآفاق جديدة على مختلف المجالات، مؤكداً دعم مصر لكينيا في استضافتها لكأس أمم أفريقيا AFCON في عام 2027.
اختتم السفير/حاتم يسرى خطابه بالترحيب بأعضاء الجالية المصرية وتأكيد مساندة السفارة لهم واعتزازنا بما يقدمونه من نموذج مشرف لمصر بالخارج.

The Egyptian Embassy in Nairobi hosts the 74th anniversary reception of its National Day in Kenya

Ambassador Hatem Yousri, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Kenya, hosted a reception to mark the 74th anniversary of the 23 July 1952 Revolution.
Ambassador Hatem Yousri stated that the 23 July 1952 Revolution in Egypt had a profound and direct impact on other nations, including Arab and African countries, as well as globally. It also played a pivotal role in supporting national liberation movements against colonialism, especially the Kenyan liberation movement in 1963, whereby Kenyan leaders at the time, such as Oginga Odinga and James Gichuru, sought refuge in Egypt to promote their cause for independence on the international stage.
Ambassador Yousry emphasized the importance of elevating relations between the two countries to new horizons across various fields, taking the opportunity to affirm Egypt’s support for Kenya in hosting the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Ambassador Yousry concluded his remarks by thanking all members of the Egyptian community in Kenya for well representing Egypt abroad, and stressed the Embassy’s constant support for them.

The Embassy of Egypt to Seychelles hosts the 74th anniversary of Egypt’s National Day reception for the first time in Seychelles since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries

His Excellency Hatem Yousri, Egypt’s Ambassador to Seychelles (Resident in Kenya), hosted a reception in Seychelles to mark the 74th anniversary of Egypt’s National Day; the reception was held for the first time since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Egypt and Seychelles on July 15, 1976.

Ambassador Yousri explained that the decision to hold the National Day reception in Seychelles this year aligns with the efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates to strengthen diplomatic ties with countries where Egypt maintains non-resident representation. This initiative, therefore, aims to convey Egypt’s appreciation for its historic relationships with these nations, despite the absence of a resident diplomatic mission. It is worth noting that Egypt plays a vital role in capacity building in Seychelles across several sectors—most notably medicine and tourism—through the active work of the Egyptian Agency for Partnership and Development (EAPD).

Hosting the national day reception in Seychelles was highly regarded by government and political circles in Seychelles. The event was attended by Mrs. Veronique Herminie, First Lady of Seychelles, as well as the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Youth and Sports, Health, Transport, Tourism, and Administrative Development. The Speaker of Parliament and the Chief Justice also attended the reception, reflecting the high regard these officials hold for bilateral relations with Egypt.

Mr. Patrick Herminie, President of the Republic of Seychelles, met with Ambassador Hatem Yousri during the latter's visit to Seychelles, and expressed his gratitude to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, for the congratulatory message sent on the occasion of Seychelles' Independence Day.
President Herminie requested conveying his greetings to President El-Sisi on the occasion of celebrating 50 years of diplomatic relations between the Egypt and Seychelles, and Egypt's celebration of the 74th anniversary of the July 23, 1952 revolution.

أقام السفير/ حاتم يسري، سفير جمهورية مصر العربية في سيشل (مقيم في كينيا) حفل استقبال بمناسبة الاحتفال بالذكرى الرابعة والسبعين لثورة يوليو في سيشل، وذلك للمرة الأولى منذ إقامة العلاقات الدبلوماسية بين مصر وسيشل يوم 15 يوليو 1976.
صرح السفير/ حاتم يسري أن الاهتمام بإقامة حفل العيد الوطني في سيشل يأتي في إطار جهود وزارة الخارجية لتعزيز العلاقات الدبلوماسية مع دول التمثيل غير المقيم بشكل ينقل لتلك الدول اعتزاز مصر بالعلاقات التاريخية معها رغم عدم وجود تمثيل دبلوماسي مقيم بها. وتجدر الإشارة إلى أن مصر تساهم بشكل حيوي في تعزيز القدرات البشرية في سيشل في عدد من المجالات في مقدمتها قطاعي الطب والسياحة، وذلك من خلال الدور الحيوي للوكالة المصرية للشراكة من أجل التنمية.

كما أوضح السفير/ حاتم يسري أن المبادرة بعقد العيد الوطني حظي بتقدير كبير من الدوائر الحكومية والسياسية في سيشل، حيث حضر الحفل السيدة Veronique Herminie حرم رئيس جمهورية سيشل، وكل من وزراء الخارجية والشباب والرياضة والصحة والنقل والسياحة والتنمية الإدارية. كما حرصت رئيسة البرلمان ورئيس محكمة النقض العليا على المشاركة في حفل الاستقبال تعبيراً من تلك الدوائر على تقديرهم للعلاقات الثنائية مع مصر.

وحرص السيد/ Patrick Herminie رئيس جمهورية سيشل على عقد لقاء مع السفير/ حاتم يسري أثناء زيارته لسيشل، مقدماً الشكر للسيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي على رسالة التهنئة التي بعث بها السيد الرئيس بمناسبة عيد الاستقلال في سيشل. وطلب رئيس سيشل نقل تحياته إلى السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي بمناسبة مرور 50 عاماً على العلاقات الدبلوماسية بين البلدين واحتفال مصر بالذكرى الرابعة والسبعين لثورة 23 يوليو 1952.

In line with the Embassy of Egypt in Nairobi’s efforts to enhance Egyptian exports to Kenya, and to attract new Egyptian investments to Kenya, H.E. Hatem Yousri met with Mr. John Mwendwa, CEO of KENINVEST, whose steadfast support of the Embassy’s efforts during the past months has led to the strengthening of economic relations between Egypt and Kenya. Discussions during the meeting explored the different avenues available to eliminate any hindrances for Egyptians wanting to invest in Kenya, as well as new fields Egyptian companies can explore investing in.

H.E. Hatem Yousri, Ambassador of Egypt to Kenya, met with Honorable William Kabogo Gitau, Cabinet Secretary for Information, Communications, and the Digital Economy. The meeting centered on how to elevate relations between the two countries in the fields of AI, digital transformation, e-government services, cybersecurity and digital skills development. Discussions also included opportunities in capacity building initiatives to enhance the two countries’ digital capabilities.

Mr. Kabogo acknowledged the importance of working with Egypt in these important fields in order to advance shared digital priorities that ultimately strengthen bilateral relations in this important sector.

H.E. Ambassador Hatem Yousri, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Kenya, held a productive meeting with the Director General of the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) to explore opportunities for enhancing bilateral cooperation in the field of transport infrastructure.

The discussions focused on enhancing the presence of Egyptian companies working in the important field of construction and maintenance of roads, bridges, and tunnels, drawing on Egypt’s extensive expertise and successful experience in delivering major infrastructure projects. Both sides also explored avenues for fostering partnerships between Egyptian and Kenyan institutions and companies operating in the sector.

Particular emphasis was placed on capacity building and knowledge exchange through tailored training programmes, technical workshops, and professional development initiatives designed to strengthen institutional and human capacities in both countries. The meeting further highlighted the importance of sharing best practices, engineering innovations, and modern technologies that contribute to sustainable and resilient infrastructure development.

H.E. Hatem Yousri Hosni, Ambassador of Egypt to the Republic of Kenya met today June 5, 2026, with Mr. Nicholas Musonye, Chairman of the joint organizing committee of AFCON 2027 (Pamoja Afcon2027) at the Embassy of Egypt offices in Nairobi.
The Ambassador congratulated Kenya once more on hosting the prestigious continental tournament jointly with fellow East African States Tanzania and Uganda and expressed Egypt’s unwavering support for the three sisterly countries in their efforts to hold and guarantee a very successful tournament.
Mr. Musonye outlined the ongoing efforts in Kenya to prepare for the tournament scheduled to take place from 19 June until 17 July of next year.
Both parties agreed to further explore possible avenues of sports cooperation between Egypt and Kenya towards a successful AFCON2027 and beyond.
