ICPAK The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) ICPAK was established in 1978 by the Accountants Act CAP 531.

Since then, ICPAK has strived to enhance its contribution and that of its members to national economic growth and development. At commencement, ICPAK secretariat was housed at KICC before it moved to Professional Centre Harambee Avenue in Nairobi in 1979. It then later moved to Red Cross Building on parliament Road in 1987. As the Institute grew, it became necessary to move to bigger premises and later it acquired the CPA Centre on Thika Road where it relocated its offices to in 1999. In 2008, a new Accountants Act No. 15 was enacted to replace the 1978 Accountants Act to take into account the various developments that had shaped the accounting globally and in Kenya.

ICPAK Western Branch successfully held a two-day Taxation Seminar at Hunters Paradise Cottages in Bungoma on 22nd–23rd October 2026, attracting 154 delegates from both the public and private sectors.

The seminar provided a platform for professional learning and knowledge sharing on taxation matters, reinforcing the importance of tax compliance and continuous professional development. The Western Branch Executive Committee was represented by CPA Ojiambo Sande, Bungoma County Representative; CPA Eunice Lisutsa, Vihiga County Representative; and CPA Opili Judith, Youth Representative.

The Branch also collaborated with the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Bungoma, led by Violet Minayo, who joined the team of facilitators in supporting the seminar.

ICPAK Western Branch appreciates all delegates, facilitators, and partners for their participation and contribution to the success of the seminar as the Institute continues to promote professional excellence and strengthen taxation practice.
