📍Moyale, Ethiopia | 🗓️3-4 September 2026

ICPALD has convened a stakeholder meeting in Marsabit, Kenya (Moyale Cluster) to establish a sub-national coordination committee.

This initiative unites government stakeholders and the Marsabit pastoral communities to operationalize the IGAD Transhumance Protocol, strengthen cross border coordination, peaceful pastoral mobility, and regional collaboration.

Participants are formalizing a sub-national coordination committee with inclusive governance mandates. Key focus areas include identifying structural gaps, sensitizing members on the IGAD Protocol, and developing tracking systems in line with the Protocol.

📍Addis Ababa, Ethiopia | 🗓️1-3 September 2026

At the PASSAGE Project Annual Strategic Review Meeting, co-implementers are harvesting outcomes.

Since 2023, ICPALD has been partnering with communities on anticipatory action, co-learning, and co-producing risk knowledge.

As the project wraps up this year, the inter-disciplinary team is addressing three critical questions to transform research evidence into lasting action:

1️⃣ What has significantly changed?
2️⃣ Why does it matter?
3️⃣ How do we sustain this impact?
