Great move, Super Senator! You have taken a significant step in advancing UDM to a higher standard. By accommodating our coalition partners with the banisa slot, you have made a commendable decision that fosters stronger relationships. While not everyone may understand this choice, I see it as a great sacrifice toward a brighter future for the party. It's like a strategic game where you give up a pawn to aim for the queen or checkmate the king. We are fully behind you and focused on achieving great things together!!! Bravo Senator Capt. Ali Ibrahim Roba EGH, MP

I strongly condemn the senseless and tragic killings in Marothio, Banisa subcounty. The loss of innocent lives is unacceptable and deeply saddening. Violence has no place in our society, and those responsible for these heinous acts must be held accountable.

I urge the security team in Mandera County and at the national level to take immediate and decisive action to restore order, protect lives and bring the perpetrators to justice. The safety and well-being of all citizens is our top priority, and we will not tolerate such attacks.

We call on all community leaders, elders, and citizens to practice restraint, promote peace, and collaborate towards peaceful coexistence. Let us also pray for God's mercy and grant patience to the affected families during this difficult time,!!!!!

It is unfortunate that concerns about the Mandera Rhamu road are falling on deaf ears. No leader seems to care about this crucial road, which connects the county headquarter to the rest of the subcounties. This road has not been a priority for elected leaders for as long as anyone can remember. The only time leaders use this road is during their campaigns, driving in convoys of a state-of-the-art vehicles that insulate them from feeling the road's roughness. Many people rely on this road daily and deserve a better road network, just like any other citizens.
We urge both county and national leaders to expedite the construction of this road to improve the county's road network.
To the residents of Mandera County, I encourage you to choose your leaders wisely. Elect those who are sensitive to the needs of the community and understand the challenges faced by the people.

STATEMENT CONDEMNING ABDUCTIONS AND ENFORCED DISAPPEARANCES
We strongly condemn the recent abductions and enforced disappearances taking place under the watch of the current administration. These acts represent a grave violation of fundamental human rights and international law. No government that claims to uphold justice and democracy can allow such heinous practices to persist.
The abduction of citizens fosters an environment of fear, undermines public trust, and erodes the very foundation of our society. Every individual has the right to security, due process, and freedom from arbitrary detention.
We call on the government to take immediate and decisive action to:
- Ensure the safe return of all abducted individuals.
- Hold those responsible accountable, regardless of their position or affiliation.
- Uphold the rule of law by protecting citizens from unlawful detainment and violence.
- Establish transparent mechanisms to prevent future abductions and guarantee justice for victims and their families.
Silence and inaction in the face of these injustices are unacceptable.
We stand in solidarity with the victims, their families, and all those who demand justice. A government that fails to protect its citizens undermines its legitimacy and moral authority.
We urge civil society, the international community, and all concerned stakeholders to speak out against these atrocities and to work collectively to ensure that justice prevails.

I wish to add my voice to the tension in Mandera north because of the purported MOU agreement signed by MPs from the two warring communities in Mandera North.
Much as the MPs had the intention of bringing an amicable long-lasting solution to end the clan clashes in the regions, the approach has not been welcomed by the residents of the area and has caused tension and mayhem in the region.
I wish to call upon all the leaders, youths, professional and elders in the region to preach peace and calm down this tension in the region before it escalates to a level beyond control.
Communal land is a very emotive issue that cannot be handled casually by few individuals meeting in a high-end hotel, coming up with an MOU, force it to people and expecting it to be taken like a doctor’s prescription with no alternative. That cannot work in this time and era!!!
Land issue need a monumental decision achieved through extensive stakeholder engagements, adequate time, and sacrifices. That is the only way to achieve a lasting, effective, adoptive, and people-owned solution.
I therefore call upon the honorable MPs to go back to the drawing board and re-strategize their approach, involve all the families and stakeholders that have an interest in the land issue, bring all tribes on board, give due respect to all leaders and elders in all walks.
To my peace-loving people of Mandera North, let’s give this issue time as we re-strategize the approaches. We will certainly find a way out of this. Let’s all embrace peace and harmony.
“Nabad ayaa naas lanugo leh”
God bless us all!!!!
