Building Safer Access, Strengthening Humanitarian Action 🇰🇪❤️

From the 18th of August 2026, Nyeri County proudly hosted the successful conclusion of a three-day Urban Safer Access Framework (USAF) Training of Trainers at Boma Inn Hotel, Nyeri.

Organized by the Kenya Red Cross Society – Emergency Operations and Humanitarian Services Department, the training equipped participants with practical knowledge and skills in the eight elements of the Safer Access Framework, Incident Command System (ICS), Field Mission Preparedness, Emergency First Aid, and Humanitarian Safety and Security.

The training brought together participants from different sectors, including representatives from the County Government of Nyeri, strengthening collaboration between humanitarian actors and government in promoting safe, effective and principled humanitarian action.

The programme culminated in a realistic practical simulation exercise, giving participants an opportunity to put their knowledge and skills into practice in an operational environment.

Epic Victory at the KRCS Central Region First Aid Competition!

On 4th July, Kirathimo Grounds in Limuru Town, Kiambu County, came alive with skill, speed, and unstoppable spirit as the KRCS Central Region hosted its highly anticipated Regional First Aid Competition!
A massive 49 teams from all 8 Counties battled it out across intense categories — Primary, Junior Secondary, Senior Secondary — with the thrilling Dissemination Challenge making its debut this year. The energy was electric as competitors showcased world-class first aid knowledge, quick thinking, and lifesaving teamwork!
