The maa community has a place in travelling.
The first Kenyan person to travel to the United states was Molonkett Ole Sempele, a Maasai man.
He travelled to the United States in 1908.
He was sponsored by the African Inland Mission.
He studied at Black theological schools in Virginia and North Carolina.
He later returned to Kenya and became an important early African Christian leader.
So, Molonkett Ole Sempele is generally identified as the first Kenyan student/person known to have arrived in America.

The first Kenyan known to set foot in North Korea (DPRK) was Daniel Olomae Ole Sapit, a Kenyan Maasai representative attending a UN-related meeting in South Korea.
In 2014, Sapit was travelling to PyeongChang, South Korea, but due to a mix-up, he ended up in Pyongyang, North Korea instead. He reportedly did not realize he was in the wrong Korea until after arriving and was detained by North Korean authorities.
So, Daniel Olomae Ole Sapit — 2014 is widely reported as the first Kenyan to set foot in North Korea.
