I met someone and he said to me that he is very sure that he is saved because he used to live a dirty life of drinking but now he is a church goer. I asked him if he is holy and he said no, but he is trying as much as possible to live a holy life.
I said to him, You don’t need to be sure of being saved, you need the evidence. When you go for a job interview, they request for a medical report as evidence that you are healthy. You don't prove you are healthy by doing push-ups to show how fit you are, you bring a doctor's report as evidence
What is the most precise evidence to prove that you are saved, I said? It is The Bible

ROMANS 5:19
For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners,
So, by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous
Who is this man who disobeyed? Its Adam
Who is the one who obeyed? This is Jesus
So, it’s not because of your disobedience did you become a sinner
Neither do you become righteous because of you obeying the law of God .

Instead of having faith in this, people are trying by their good deeds to prove they are saved and be counted as righteous before God. It is not so

Philippians 2:8
And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Jesus' obedience is what made us righteous.
Has His Obedience Already Made You Righteous? Or, are trying with your own to be righteous?

Romans 4:25
Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
Jesus is telling you that you are justified, you are righteous. "I did this for you, believe in Me", but people put away this evidence and try to find righteousness in other things

God wants you to believe and have faith in Him
Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
When you believe in God, you are counted as righteous
Even though we are full of shortcomings, Jesus made us righteous so we are righteous
If Jesus makes you holy then you are holy
God is the happiest when you believe in that
Those who believe in God have hope that leads their lives and this is the true blessing Romans chapter 4:6-8 is talking about.

2 Corinthians 5:7
For we walk by faith, not by sight.
The children of Israel were called by God according to His promised word to Abraham.
According to the promise word they journeyed through the guidance of Moses the servant of God who heard directly from God.

Numbers 12:8 "With him will I speak mouth to mouth.....

Moses sent the leaders of the 12 tribes to spy on the land of promise and bring back the report, but these spies were divided into two groups. Those who went **With faith.** and those who went to spy on the land by sight
Numbers 13:30
And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.

13:31 But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.

13:32 And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of great stature.

13:33 And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.

Genesis 39:1-3
[1]Now Joseph had been taken down to Egypt. And Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him from the Ishmaelites who had taken him down there.
[2] The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man;and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.
[3]And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all he did to prosper in his hand.

No matter what situation we may be in, as long as the Lord is with us, we are still able to prosper
Our prosperity is not based on the good conditions, but whether the Lord is with us or not.
What is important is to always remember that "the Lord is with me" God is with you even in that situation you are in, just as He was with Joseph even though his brothers had sold him as a slave. Let us all come into the fellowship of the word

True blessings are not earned through hardworking but through faith in the one who bleses.
If blessings were earned by hard work, it means one can bless their own lives.
Jacob only obeyed the voice of mother Rebekah but Esau wanted to be blessed by working hard.
Romans 4:6
Just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from works:

As the Syrians in 2 Kings 6&7 gathered food for their army who had sorrounded the Samaria city, they thought it was for the army but God had plans to use them to gather food for the hungry Samaritans. After they had gathered enough, the word of God came through His servant Elisha saying
2 Kings 7:1
[1]Then Elisha said, “Hear the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord: ‘Tomorrow about this time a seah of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria.’ ”
God chased away the Syrian army and used the four lepers to bring the good news to the people of Samaria.
2 Kings 7:10
[10]So they went and called to the gatekeepers of the city, and told them, saying, “We went to the Syrian camp, and surprisingly no one was there, not a human sound—only horses and donkeys tied, and the tents intact.”
This was the greatest news in the ears of the Samaritans who were starving inside the city.
God has prepared for us too, we need to hear and believe the gospel. The salvation prepared by God is the good news saying
Hebrews 10:17
[17]then He adds, “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.”
