PREAMBLE OF THE CONSTITUTION OF 2019
HUMBLY submitting to God and recognizing our responsibility before Him, humanity and to ourselves
AWARE that SOTTTI is a student body created to serve the student community in pursuit of Academics, Social life,Justice, Peace,Integrity,Prosperity,Digninty,Equality,Democracy and Rights of students in accordance with this constitution and the Kenyan laws governing students.
PROUD of our diversity of cultural backgrounds and the spirit of living in Unity.
APPRECIATING ourselves and the Alumni ,the selfless efforts, drawbacks and successes of our founding and succeeding members of SOTTTI.
GUIDED by the principles of reason, courtesy and genuine search of all virtues to live in comradeship and peace within the Institute with the aim of achieving Justice, equality and truth.
RECOGNISING our slogan [comrades power],our aims and objectives, supreme authority of the student council as outlined in this constitution, the statutes-the regulations governing SOTTTI and its organs on bases of conduct, discipline and ethics of students.
ENCOURAGING working transition of academic life and cultivation of a genuine and responsible sense of leadership, noting that the democratic values of transparency, accountability and respect for students’ rights, social justice must be institutionalized in our system as founded in SOTTTI so as to ensure that democracy is enjoyed by all members.
DETERMINED to protect this constitution, protect our Institute and defend our members against any injustice.
CONVINCED TO ADOPT,ENACT and give this constitution to ourselves and the future generations as our supreme governing law and guarantee continued peaceful existence among SOTTTI ,the staff [senior and junior] and the Institute Administration.
