A Somalia student, Mariam Noor has developed a medical device that helps prevent leaking heart valves, which could eliminate the need for heart surgery.🇸🇴

The Somali student from Aarhus University Denmark spent three years designing and developing a ring that may cure patients with a leaking heart valve, also known as aortic insufficiency.

Mariam's invention has been hailed by cardiologists as revolutionary and could have a major impact on the world of surgery.

As a Somali student, Mariam serves as an inspiration to individuals from Africa and diverse backgrounds pursuing careers in science and technology.
