អង្គការជំហានដំបូងកម្ពុជា បានគាំទ្រសមាជិកក្លឹបកុមារ និងយុវជនឱ្យដឹកនាំ សកម្មភាពផ្សព្វផ្សាយការយល់ដឹងចំនួន ១២លើក ស្តីពី «សុវត្ថិភាពកុមារតាមអនឡាញ» ដល់សិស្សានុសិស្សចំនួន ២៤៣នាក់ ក្នុងនោះស្រី ១២៩នាក់ នៅសាលារៀនចំនួន៤ ក្នុងស្រុកបន្ទាយស្រី និងក្រុងរុនតាឯកតេជោសែន។

តាមរយៈការរៀនសូត្រពីមិត្តភក្តិទៅមិត្តភក្តិ សិស្សានុសិស្សបានបង្កើនការយល់ដឹងអំពី ការកេងប្រវ័ញ្ច និងរំលោភបំពានផ្លូវភេទកុមារតាមអនឡាញ ការលួងលោមទាក់ទាញកុមារ (Grooming) សុវត្ថិភាពតាមអនឡាញ និងយន្តការរាយការណ៍។ ពួកគេបានរៀនពីរបៀបសម្គាល់ហានិភ័យ ការពារខ្លួនឯង និងមិត្តភក្តិ និងស្វែងរកជំនួយនៅពេលជួបប្រទះស្ថានភាពមិនមានសុវត្ថិភាព។

🌐 Young Voices, Safer Online Spaces: Children Leading the Change

📍 Siem Reap Province l From January to August 2026

First Step Cambodia supported Child and Youth Club members to take the lead in delivering 12 peer-led awareness sessions on “Child Safety Online”, reaching 243 students, including 129 girls, across four schools in Banteay Srei District and Run Ta Eak Techor Sen Municipality.
Through interactive peer-to-peer learning, students strengthened their understanding of online sexual exploitation and abuse, grooming, online safety, and reporting mechanisms. They learned how to recognize online risks, protect themselves and their friends, and seek help when they encounter unsafe situations.

Following the sessions, students demonstrated improved knowledge of online risks and were able to explain practical ways to stay safe, support their peers, and report concerns. Most importantly, this initiative placed children and young people at the heart of prevention—empowering them to become digital changemakers who use their voices and knowledge to create safer online spaces for themselves and their peers.

First Step Cambodia successfully completed 4 training of trainer sessions on Online Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (OCSEA), reaching 40 Child and Youth Club members from four target communities in Banteay Srei District, Siem Reap Province.

The training strengthened participants’ knowledge and skills to recognize online risks, respond safely, and share key messages with their peers, empowering them to become young advocates for safer digital environments.

At First Step Cambodia, we believe that when children and young people are equipped with the right knowledge, skills, and opportunities to participate, they can become powerful agents of change—protecting themselves and their peers from online harm.

🎓 Strengthening Social Work Practice: Linking Theory to Practice

Battambang: From 17–19 August 2026, First Step Cambodia delivered a three-day Fundamentals of Social Work Practice Training to 11 KNGO staff (5 women).

The training covered the foundations of social work, values and ethics, key theories, case management, and self-care, with particular emphasis on linking theory to practice through discussions, case studies, and practical exercises.

📍 ខេត្តសៀមរាប៖ នៅថ្ងៃទី១៤ ខែសីហា ឆ្នាំ២០២៦ អង្គការជំហានដំបូងកម្ពុជា បានចូលរួម កិច្ចប្រជុំក្រុមការងារបច្ចេកទេសចម្រុះវិស័យអប់រំថ្នាក់ក្រោមជាតិ (JTWG) ដែលរៀបចំដោយមន្ទីរអប់រំ យុវជន និងកីឡាខេត្តសៀមរាប ដោយមានអ្នកចូលរួមសរុប ៣០នាក់ (ស្ត្រី ៥នាក់) មកពីស្ថាប័នរដ្ឋ និងអង្គការដៃគូពាក់ព័ន្ធ។

🤝 Strengthening Collaboration for Inclusive and Equitable Education

📍 Siem Reap Province: On 14 August 2026, First Step Cambodia (FSC) participated in the Sub-National Joint Technical Working Group on Education (JTWG) meeting, organized by the Siem Reap Provincial Department of Education, Youth and Sport. The meeting brought together 30 participants (5 women) from relevant government institutions and partner organizations.

During the meeting, FSC presented the objectives and strategic direction of the “Empowering Children and Youth to Promote Inclusive and Equitable Education” Project, supported by Felm, and sought collaboration from JTWG members to support its implementation.

The Provincial Department of Education, Youth and Sport and JTWG members welcomed FSC’s engagement and expressed their support for continued collaboration to advance quality, inclusive, and equitable education for all children and young people in Siem Reap Province.

📍 រាជធានីភ្នំពេញ៖ អង្គការជំហានដំបូងកម្ពុជា បានរៀបចំវគ្គបណ្តុះបណ្តាលរយៈពេល ១ថ្ងៃកន្លះ នៅថ្ងៃទី១៥–១៦ ខែកក្កដា ឆ្នាំ២០២៦ ជូនដល់បុគ្គលិកអង្គការផ្ទះកុមារក្តីសង្ឃឹមថ្មី ចំនួន ៤២នាក់ (ស្រី១៧នាក់) ស្តីពី “ការកំណត់អត្តសញ្ញាណ និងការឆ្លើយតបបឋមចំពោះកុមាររងគ្រោះដោយការរំលោភបំពានផ្លូវភេទ និងកុមារដែលមានអាកប្បកិរិយាផ្លូវភេទបែបបញ្ហា និងគ្រោះថ្នាក់”។

🛡️ Strengthening Knowledge and Skills to Protect Children from Violence

📍 Phnom Penh – First Step Cambodia recently conducted a one-and-a-half-day training on 15–16 July 2026 for 42 staff members (17 females) of New Hope Children’s Home Organization on “Identifying and Providing Initial Responses to Child Survivors of Sexual Abuse and Children Displaying Problematic and Harmful Sexual Behaviors.”

The training covered key areas including child rights, forms of violence against children, child development, signs, causes and impacts of child sexual abuse, children’s sexual development, listening with empathy, and appropriate initial responses. Through the training, participants strengthened their knowledge and practical skills to identify concerns early and respond appropriately to children in need of care and protection.

💬 Mr. Im ChanOudom, one of the participants, reflected:

“This training has deepened my understanding of child sexual abuse and problematic and harmful sexual behaviors that children may experience. The knowledge and skills gained are highly relevant to our work, enabling staff to identify concerns early, respond in a timely manner, and provide appropriate support to ensure that children receive quality care and protection.”

The training reflects a shared commitment to strengthening the capacity of caregivers and the social service workforce to identify concerns early, respond effectively, and provide appropriate support that prioritizes the safety, well-being, and best interests of every child. 🧒🛡️

Strengthening Capacity on Climate Change and Waste Management

📍 Siem Reap: On 8–9 August 2026, Village Support Group (VSG) provided a two-day training on Climate Change, Adaptation, and Municipal Solid Waste Management for 10 staff members (5 women) from First Step Cambodia and Women's Resource Center.

The training strengthened participants’ understanding of climate change and its impacts in Cambodia, adaptation and resilience, natural resource protection, clean energy, and municipal solid waste management. Participants also explored waste separation and the 4Rs: Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle, with practical actions that can be applied in daily life, workplaces, and communities.

Strengthening the Capacity of Trei Nhoar Child and Youth Club Members to Develop the Club Implementation Plan

Pouk District, Siem Reap Province – First Step Cambodia recently facilitated a coaching and action planning session for 13 members (8 females) of the Trei Nhoar Child and Youth Club, with the participation of the Vice Principal of Thipakdei Secondary School. The activity was implemented under the Empowering Children and Youth for Inclusive and Equitable Education Project.

During the session, club members worked together to develop a six-month action plan (July–December 2026), outlining activities, timelines, and leadership responsibilities. The plan focuses on strengthening youth participation in Child and Youth Club activities, Commune Committee for Women and Children (CCWC) meetings, school meetings, and other community initiatives, while ensuring that activities do not interfere with their education.

The representative of the Commune Committee for Women and Children (CCWC) expressed appreciation to First Step Cambodia and Felm for supporting the establishment and capacity development of the Child and Youth Club, encouraging members to continue using their voices to contribute to community development.

By developing their own action plan, the young people demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and shared ownership—important steps toward meaningful participation in local decision-making.

🎓 រួមគ្នាពង្រឹងកម្លាំងការងារសេវាសង្គមនៅកម្ពុជា តាមរយៈការបណ្តុះបណ្តាលការអនុវត្តការងារសង្គមកិច្ចប្រកបដោយវិជ្ជាជីវៈ

អង្គការ ជំហានដំបូងកម្ពុជា និងអង្គការ ម្លប់គ្រួសារ មានសេចក្តីសោមនស្សក្នុងការរៀបចំ វគ្គបណ្តុះបណ្តាលស្តីពី “មូលដ្ឋានគ្រឹះនៃការអនុវត្តការងារសង្គមកិច្ច” ដែលមានការចូលរួមពីកម្លាំងសេវាសង្គមចំនួន ២២នាក់ (ស្រី ១៥នាក់) ដែលមានឆន្ទៈ និងការប្តេជ្ញាចិត្តក្នុងការលើកកម្ពស់គុណភាពសេវាសង្គមសម្រាប់កុមារ គ្រួសារ និងក្រុមងាយរងគ្រោះនៅកម្ពុជា។

វគ្គបណ្តុះបណ្តាលនេះ ត្រូវបានសម្របសម្រួលដោយ លោក យ៉ាំ ចំរើន នាយកប្រតិបត្តិនៃអង្គការជំហានដំបូងកម្ពុជា និង លោក ឌឹម សុភារិន នាយកប្រតិបត្តិនៃអង្គការ ម្លប់គ្រួសារ។ តាមរយៈការរៀនសូត្របែបចូលរួម ការពិភាក្សាករណីជាក់ស្តែង និងការចែករំលែកបទពិសោធន៍ អ្នកចូលរួមបានពង្រឹងចំណេះដឹង និងជំនាញលើការអនុវត្តការងារសង្គមកិច្ចប្រកបដោយវិជ្ជាជីវៈ ការសម្រេចចិត្តប្រកបដោយក្រមសីលធម៌ ការគ្រប់គ្រងករណី និងការផ្តល់អន្តរាគមន៍ប្រកបដោយប្រសិទ្ធភាព។ ជាពិសេស វគ្គបណ្តុះបណ្តាលបានផ្តោតសំខាន់លើ “ការភ្ជាប់ទ្រឹស្តីទៅនឹងការអនុវត្តជាក់ស្តែង” ដើម្បីឱ្យអ្នកចូលរួមអាចយ គុណតម្លៃវិជ្ជាជីវៈ ក្រមសីលធម៌ និងគំរូអន្តរាគមន៍នានា ទៅអនុវត្តក្នុងស្ថានភាពពិត ស្របតាមតម្រូវការរបស់អតិថិជន និងផ្អែកលើភស្តុតាង។

🎓 Strengthening Cambodia's Social Service Workforce Through Professional Social Work Training

First Step Cambodia and M'lup Kroursar Organization are proud to deliver a Fundamental Social Work Practice Training, bringing together 22 passionate social service professionals (15 women) committed to strengthening the quality of social services for children, families, and vulnerable communities across Cambodia.

The training is jointly facilitated by Mr. Yaim Chamreun, Executive Director of First Step Cambodia, and Mr. Dim Sophearin, Executive Director of M'lup Kroursar Organization. Through interactive learning, practical case discussions, and knowledge sharing, participants are strengthening their competencies in professional social work practice, ethical decision-making, case management, and effective interventions. The training also places a strong emphasis on bridging theory and practice, enabling participants to apply social work concepts, values, and intervention models to real-life situations and deliver more effective, evidence-informed, and client-centered services.

This initiative reflects our shared commitment to developing a stronger, more competent, and sustainable social service workforce in Cambodia. By investing in the knowledge and skills of frontline professionals and equipping them to translate theory into practice, we are helping ensure that children, families, and vulnerable populations receive quality, ethical, and person-centered support.
