📍 ស្រុកពួក ខេត្តសៀមរាប៖ ថ្មីៗនេះ អង្គការជំហានដំបូងកម្ពុជា (First Step Cambodia) បានរៀបចំវគ្គបង្វឹក និងកិច្ចប្រជុំរៀបចំផែនការសកម្មភាព សម្រាប់សមាជិកក្លឹបកុមារ និងយុវជន ត្រពាំងញ័រ ចំនួន ១៣នាក់ (ស្រី ៨នាក់) ដោយមានការចូលរួមពីលោកនាយករងវិទ្យាល័យ ធិបតី។ សកម្មភាពនេះត្រូវបានអនុវត្តក្រោមគម្រោង ពង្រឹងភាពអង់អាចរបស់កុមារ និងយុវជន ដើម្បីការអប់រំបរិយាបន្ន និងសមធម៌។

ក្នុងវគ្គនេះ សមាជិកក្លឹបបានរួមគ្នារៀបចំ ផែនការសកម្មភាពរយៈពេល ៦ខែ (ខែកក្កដា–ខែធ្នូ ឆ្នាំ២០២៦) ដោយកំណត់សកម្មភាព កាលវិភាគ និងតួនាទីទទួលខុសត្រូវ ដើម្បីជំរុញការចូលរួមក្នុងសកម្មភាពក្លឹប កិច្ចប្រជុំគណៈកម្មាធិការឃុំទទួលបន្ទុកស្ត្រី និងកុមារ (CCWC) កិច្ចប្រជុំសាលារៀន និងសកម្មភាពសហគមន៍ផ្សេងៗ ដោយធានាថាមិនប៉ះពាល់ដល់ការសិក្សារបស់ពួកគេ។

តំណាងគណៈកម្មាធិការឃុំទទួលបន្ទុកស្ត្រី និងកុមារ (CCWC) បានថ្លែងអំណរគុណដល់អង្គការជំហានដំបូងកម្ពុជា និងអង្គការ ហ្វែម ដែលបានគាំទ្រការបង្កើត និងពង្រឹងសមត្ថភាពក្លឹបកុមារ និងយុវជន ព្រមទាំងលើកទឹកចិត្តសមាជិកទាំងអស់ឱ្យបន្តចូលរួមយ៉ាងសកម្មក្នុងការអភិវឌ្ឍសហគមន៍របស់ខ្លួន។

តាមរយៈការរៀបចំផែនការសកម្មភាពដោយខ្លួនឯង កុមារ និងយុវជនបានបង្ហាញពីភាពជាអ្នកដឹកនាំ ការធ្វើការងារជាក្រុម និងភាពជាម្ចាស់លើសកម្មភាពរបស់ពួកគេ ដែលជាមូលដ្ឋានសំខាន់សម្រាប់ការចូលរួមប្រកបដោយអត្ថន័យក្នុងការសម្រេចចិត្ត និងការអភិវឌ្ឍនៅថ្នាក់មូលដ្ឋាន។

Strengthening the Capacity of Trei Nhoar Child and Youth Club Members to Develop the Club Implementation Plan

Pouk District, Siem Reap Province – First Step Cambodia recently facilitated a coaching and action planning session for 13 members (8 females) of the Trei Nhoar Child and Youth Club, with the participation of the Vice Principal of Thipakdei Secondary School. The activity was implemented under the Empowering Children and Youth for Inclusive and Equitable Education Project.

During the session, club members worked together to develop a six-month action plan (July–December 2026), outlining activities, timelines, and leadership responsibilities. The plan focuses on strengthening youth participation in Child and Youth Club activities, Commune Committee for Women and Children (CCWC) meetings, school meetings, and other community initiatives, while ensuring that activities do not interfere with their education.

The representative of the Commune Committee for Women and Children (CCWC) expressed appreciation to First Step Cambodia and Felm for supporting the establishment and capacity development of the Child and Youth Club, encouraging members to continue using their voices to contribute to community development.

By developing their own action plan, the young people demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and shared ownership—important steps toward meaningful participation in local decision-making.

អង្គការ ជំហានដំបូងកម្ពុជា និងអង្គការ ម្លប់គ្រួសារ មានសេចក្តីសោមនស្សក្នុងការរៀបចំ វគ្គបណ្តុះបណ្តាលស្តីពី “មូលដ្ឋានគ្រឹះនៃការអនុវត្តការងារសង្គមកិច្ច” ដែលមានការចូលរួមពីកម្លាំងសេវាសង្គមចំនួន ២២នាក់ (ស្រី ១៥នាក់) ដែលមានឆន្ទៈ និងការប្តេជ្ញាចិត្តក្នុងការលើកកម្ពស់គុណភាពសេវាសង្គមសម្រាប់កុមារ គ្រួសារ និងក្រុមងាយរងគ្រោះនៅកម្ពុជា។

🎓 Strengthening Cambodia's Social Service Workforce Through Professional Social Work Training

First Step Cambodia and M'lup Kroursar Organization are proud to deliver a Fundamental Social Work Practice Training, bringing together 22 passionate social service professionals (15 women) committed to strengthening the quality of social services for children, families, and vulnerable communities across Cambodia.

The training is jointly facilitated by Mr. Yaim Chamreun, Executive Director of First Step Cambodia, and Mr. Dim Sophearin, Executive Director of M'lup Kroursar Organization. Through interactive learning, practical case discussions, and knowledge sharing, participants are strengthening their competencies in professional social work practice, ethical decision-making, case management, and effective interventions. The training also places a strong emphasis on bridging theory and practice, enabling participants to apply social work concepts, values, and intervention models to real-life situations and deliver more effective, evidence-informed, and client-centered services.

This initiative reflects our shared commitment to developing a stronger, more competent, and sustainable social service workforce in Cambodia. By investing in the knowledge and skills of frontline professionals and equipping them to translate theory into practice, we are helping ensure that children, families, and vulnerable populations receive quality, ethical, and person-centered support.

Strengthening the Capacity of Ampil Child and Youth Club Members to Enhance Their Participation in Local Government Meetings

📍 Prasat District, Siem Reap Province: Recently, First Step Cambodia organized a coaching session for 15 members (8 females) of the Ampil Child and Youth Club, with the participation of the Vice Principal of Tapang Secondary School. The session was conducted under the Empowering Children and Youth for Inclusive and Equitable Education Project.

During the session, participants enhanced their understanding of children's right to participate, the structure and processes of commune, district, municipal, and provincial meetings, as well as practical skills for identifying issues affecting children and youth. They also learned to use participatory tools such as the Problem Tree and the Solution Hand, and strengthened their advocacy skills to help them confidently raise their voices and meaningfully contribute to local decision-making processes.

The Vice Principal of Tapang Secondary School expressed her appreciation for the work of First Step Cambodia and welcomed the opportunity for representatives of the Ampil Child and Youth Club to participate in the Commune Committee for Women and Children (CCWC) meetings. She encouraged all club members to remain actively engaged in community activities and thanked First Step Cambodia for selecting Tapang Secondary School as a partner and for supporting the establishment and continuous development of the Ampil Child and Youth Club.

Club members also shared their positive feedback on the training, highlighting that the Problem Tree and Solution Hand tools are easy to understand and practical to use. 🌐 Empowering Children and Youth to Prevent Online Child Sexual Exploitation

📍 Run Ta Aek Municipality, Siem Reap Province | 18 June 2026

First Step Cambodia successfully conducted a training on Online Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (OCSEA) for 10 members of the Child and Youth Club (including 6 girls) from Sangkat Run Ta Aek under the project "Empowering Children and Youth to Prevent Online Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation."

💡 The training aimed to:
✅ Strengthen the knowledge and outreach skills of Child and Youth Club members.
✅ Build their capacity to recognize and respond to online risks affecting children.
✅ Equip them to become young advocates for safer online communities.

At First Step Cambodia, we believe that when children and young people are equipped with the right knowledge and skills, they become powerful changemakers in protecting themselves and their peers from online harm.

💡 Children as Digital Changemakers: Promoting Online Safety Among Peers

📍 Banteay Srei District: On 15 June 2026, First Step Cambodia supported child and youth club members to lead three awareness-raising sessions on “Child Safety Online” at Khnar Sanday High School, Khnar Sanday Commune, Banteay Srei District, Siem Reap Province. A total of 66 students, including 42 girls, took part in the sessions and learned about the risks of online sexual exploitation and abuse, including grooming, as well as the importance of reporting unsafe situations.

The sessions aimed to strengthen students’ capacity to protect themselves and their peers from online dangers and to better understand the available reporting mechanisms.

After the awareness activities, the students were able to clearly explain the risks of online sexual exploitation, abuse, and grooming; how to stay safe online and protect their friends; and how to report if such cases happen.

Through this initiative, children became digital changemakers, taking an active role in promoting safer online spaces for themselves and others.

📍 ស្រុកប្រាសាទបាគង ខេត្តសៀមរាប៖ នាថ្ងៃទី១២ ខែមិថុនា ឆ្នាំ២០២៦ គណៈកម្មាធិការទទួលបន្ទុកកិច្ចការនារី និងកុមារ (គ.ក.ន.ក) ឃុំកណ្តែក បានរៀបចំកិច្ចប្រជុំប្រចាំខែ របស់គណៈកម្មាធិការទទួលបន្ទុកកិច្ចការនារី និងកុមារ (គ.ក.ន.ក) រួមជាមួយសមាជិក សមាជិកា គ.ក.ន.ក ឃុំ។ ក្នុងនោះក៏មានការអញ្ជើញចូលរួមពីតំណាងអង្គការជំហានដំបូងកម្ពុជា និងតំណាងក្លឹបកុមារ និងយុវជនចំនួន ២រូប ផងដែរ។ អង្គប្រជុំទាំងមូលមានអ្នកចូលរួមសរុបចំនួន ២៥នាក់ (ស្រី ៥នាក់)។

🎯 គោលបំណងនៃការអញ្ជើញតំណាងក្លឹបកុមារ និងយុវជនចូលរួមក្នុងកិច្ចប្រជុំ គ.ក.ន.ក គឺ ដើម្បីណែនាំពួកគេទៅកាន់សមាជិក គ.ក.ន.ក និងស្នើឱ្យតំណាងក្លឹបកុមារ និងយុវជនចូលជាសមាជិកផ្លូវការក្នុងគណៈកម្មាធិការ។

🤝 អាជ្ញាធរឃុំបានកោតសរសើរដល់អង្គការជំហានដំបូងកម្ពុជា និងម្ចាស់ជំនួយដែលបានគាំទ្រដល់តំណាងក្លឹបកុមារ និងយុវជនក្នុងចូលរួមកិច្ចប្រជុំ គ.ក.ន.ក ដែលជាការរួមចំណែកដ៏សំខាន់ក្នុងធានានូវការអនុវត្តសិទ្ធិចូលរួមរបស់កុមារ។

Child and Youth Club Representatives Attend Monthly CCWC Meeting in Kandaek Commune

📍 Prasat Bakong District, Siem Reap Province — On 12 June 2026, the Commune Committee for Women and Children (CCWC) of Kandak Commune convened its monthly meeting with members. The meeting was also attended by staff from First Step Cambodia and two representatives from the Child and Youth Club. In total, 25 participants (5 females) took part in the meeting, including 5 women.

🎯 The purpose of including Child and Youth Club representatives in the CCWC meeting was to introduce them to CCWC members and to seek approval for their future appointment as official members of the committee.

🤝 The Commune Authorities expressed their sincere appreciation to First Step Cambodia and its donors for supporting the participation of Child and Youth Club representatives in the CCWC meeting. This initiative made an important contribution to promoting and realizing children’s right to participation.

June 12th is the 25th International Day Against Child Labor, observed worldwide to raise awareness and accelerate efforts to end child labor. First Step Cambodia celebrates this day by promoting child protection and supporting vulnerable children through awareness campaigns, social work, and capacity building to help prevent exploitation and abuse.
